Cheers old pal, still knocking the rust off after my lay off, A bit more investigating of the atlis pod and i dug out of the stash a revell 48th rafale M (lovley looking kit) inside it is a pdlct targeting pod , below is a size comparison to the other two pods kinetic from the kit and kittyhawk from a etendard kit, the pdlct is still on the sprues I dont know if its common knowledge that kinetics atlis pod is undersized but the evidence is mounting Sorry for the picture quality You can see the kinetic pod top Pdlct still on the sprues And kittyhawks version of the atlis pod built up bottom Any thoughts?

Thanks gerard, while having a rummage through old weapons sprues i dug out a set for a kittyhawk 1/48 etendard ivp i built a while back kh are well known for packaging weopons sprues and bits and pieces even if they aren't appropriate for the kit, But something was bothering me about kinetics version of the atlis ii targeting pod, It looks a bit thin , and undernourished, included on the kittyhawk sprues there is an atlis ii pod , look at the size difference, should the kits pod really be that small next to the magic ii missile , any thoughts from those who may know ,

Thanks I think the look of the first effort was a bit much, it would have suited a haf phantom maybe , I've dialed it back a bit now though

Bit more fine tuning Had a bash with the h+s wow an incredible tool, gonna be a bit of a learning curve though compared to the old mr moon special

Of couse you may, unfortunately the ship has set sail on any corrections at this point, i see where your coming from though, but the painting is mostly done , i did it with my old airbrush, and I'm going to give the grey a weak misting and tidy up the edges to try and get them a bit crisper today with the h+s, thanks for the comments all👍,i appreciate it Glynn

🤭, i cant see that close up, I had a bash at some painting last night , i was only mixing up some grey and didn't intend to paint the model , just its tanks ,but i got carried away , i did white glue the canopy on but there were some big scars from the sprue attachment points that stuck out a bit, so off it came for a dip in gauzy,theyre totally fixed now and refitting that will be this evenings task, Just used up the paint left in the cup on the top, I've definitely got some bits left to fit on top And the emperor's new clothes still in its box yet to be used, a christmas present from mrs hewy, and old faithfull its a £20 somthing pound kkmoon .2 needle cheapo , i know what it can and can't do, ive used it for a couple of years at least , i'm in two minds here , do i mask with the putty , or go for it freehand ? Trying both out , or just move on to the h+s , decisions, decisions ,any hoo cheers all Glynn

Got a bit done this week, the nose is now sorted and I've re-added the ridges down the radome with stretched sprue due to over zealous sanding, also got the pilots saddled up ( these are out of my tornado gr4 goodies box) not quite right but they'll pass muster i reckon , weopons and pylons are painted and the stand is coming together, as soon as i locate the acrylic rod from where i put it safely i can drill the hole Cheers all

Thanks @rom1, i like the colour of your D, I'm off to the lms on saturday for the mr hobby paints , btw the ammo set arrived today ,not had time to test them out yet though i hope to tommorow , @Biggles87, no worries , i hope to do the french air force Esqadron de chass 2/3 a bit of justice with the stand (i dont mind a drop of champagne) ive been working on that and the weopons load , @Wings unlevel thanks ,thats most kind , the cheap chinese (but very capable) airbrush will be put aside for its top coat ,and I'll be unwrapping, unbelievably late , my Christmas present from mrs hewy of a h+s infinity cr plus , I'm looking forward to a little side by side with my go to cheap airbrush,

Hi all , first off thanks to @eclipse and @rom1 for the heads up on the nosecone , it does stick out a bit doesn't it , i hadn't noticed, to partly rectify it , I've had a bash at rescribing the line ,i enlarged the picture @eclipse posted and lined up the model in front of the screen and marked à start to the new line , I've scribed it first and I'll sand out the mr dissolved putty after, there still looks to be a minor shape difference though. Also , Before my modern french jets paint set by mig ammo arrive i thought I'd give it a prime , still got the doo dads ,canopy ,and hud to sort out so i hope the paint set doesn't come too soon 😋 A few pics

The paints shelf is very run down craig, after opening of dry jars,or with very little in ,I've taken the plunge and ordered the mig ammo modern french jets set, they mix with mr hobby laquer thinner , I'm hoping they wont take too long to arrive , cheers pal
