  1. Really nice looking model james, love the noseπŸ‘
  2. A great sight I'll bet ,Wonderfull john, thanks πŸ‘ To be honest gerard the kits decals are awsome, so thin and conformable, also the large "ne pas marcher" and red outlines on the wing needed to be cut into three, it wasn't so much they were brittle, but so fine, they had a tendancy to fold up, the berna ones are nice , but the boars head (sanglier, thanks john) was really thick also the red bar, which is a seperate decal ,the front fuselage numbers were great though ,cheers fellas
  3. Yours should work better than mine did I reckon because there's no dark stand out areas, it's more a gradual shading where you won't need to overdo the paint to cover , I'm looking forward to seeing it evolve , fingers are tightly crossed on your behalf gerard
  4. Just about got the decals all on with out drama, which is quite pleasing for a change, I'll start the final assembly later hopefully , Cheers all
  5. Its looking superb with the decals πŸ‘
  6. That looks spot on to me, that should work really well gerard, follow the advise you gave to me (which i found difficult to follow ) and keep the paint thin and you're on to a winner
  7. Smashing job rod, i seem to remember when i built mine in the at sea gb a couple of years ago that the cockpit is so tiny and i couldn't fit an aftermarket seat and pilot
  8. I've got much of the same resin for mine ,sorry but you'll be my Guinea pig for the fit of that if you dont mind rayπŸ€—
  9. I can, and its been a big chunk of that since i built it in its hasegawa boxing, I've looked through the sprues and the molds have stood up really well, i aim to do a better job this time round though🀭
  10. Nice choice craig, still a really good kit isn't it ,i have the mig killer boxing from hobby 2000, with quite a lot of resin too , I'll hopefully get the mirage over the line in the not too distant future and join in over here
  11. Exellent choice, and a good selection of extras there too ray
  12. Thanks dave πŸ‘ Thanks werner, I'll look into the magicsπŸ‘ Just a quick one for today, I've glossed it to within an inch of it's life ready for some decals It's only loosely pluged in to the stand so i turn it like a hog roast on a spit
  13. Good lord, its taking a beating, i reckon you'll end up the winner thoughπŸ‘
  14. I flippin well drowned mine in paint eventually anyway , You've got a good base down πŸ‘
  15. Very well done seat gerard, and a cracking example of a worn rear end tooπŸ‘
  16. Thanks rom, yes i agree the kit atlis looks wrong ,the kittyhawk one from the etendard ivp looks much better, i dont really want to spoil my rafale kit by removing its pdlct pod, even though the kits decals are printed by cartograph and designed by cross delta and look very crisp, i shall be ordering a set from hannants by berna, i quite like the boars head, as for the camo ,yes I've noticed that and am actually in the process of adjusting the pattern From the etendard ivp kit but it does say jaguar on the sprues πŸ‘
  17. I agree gentlemen, i was hoping @rom1 or @eclipse might offer some of they're mirage knowlege before i committed, but at the minute im going with the kittyhawk version, i have seen pictures of the 2000D with the pdlct pod on but I'll leave that with the rafale kit , just working on the stand atm because there will be some little doo dads applied soon and i want to reduce the handling of the model, Just got to paint the top of the stand and do the image transfer. So tempted to put it on but the epoxy has to set yet Cheers Glynn
