  1. That is what I'm thinking of , I think I'm going to strip the colour from the seatbelts too and paint them, they'll only peel when i try to bend them anyway, they always do ,cheers james
  2. Thanks pal, I'm testing out the hataka laquer range , i picked up the us navy set cheap, I'm a tight sod somtimes, I've done the wings today,๐Ÿ‘,i like the paint it goes down wetter than my go to mr hobby,so you have to have your wits about you ,but it has a nice finish
  3. Excellent job , smashing build Sam . Looks like you've got a cracking wheels up display there too, well done . I must get mine in the gallery
  4. Ok i have been working on the crusader but have struggled to find much time for computing shenanigans, so an over due update The fuselage is glued and the seams are sorted, I'm no rescribing experten, so I've done my best here Really don't like the pe, the seat wont fit with side console panels installed, So i recckon I'm going to remove them and revert to the decals, i may even put the decal on the ip, I'll decide later I made some seat rails from old pe parts, theres also a pe piece that covers the area behind the seat ,i have to paint it to match though Ive got the wing section glued up and fettled to fit the fuselage part, I had a nightmare with the wing by using a thick tamiya resin glue to fit the flaps, and it pretty much melted the thin groove part that the flaps fit in , the glue was too hot, a lot of super glue , filling and rescribing to get to this stage, also the front leading edge flap was warped and while trying to bend it back it snapped, you can just see the ghost line after far too long spent fixing it, in fact the wing nearly caused it to be reboxed๐Ÿคฏ, after all it's supposed to be fun Internal parts painted white, and a thin wash, just got to pick out some details in different colours, there aren't many pictures of this area about ,but i think the thick pipe running on the starboard side looks to be a light khaki colour, anybody know different? Finally I've prepared the wing section for some paint, i got bored of sanding and filling and scribing I know its a bit old school ๐Ÿคญ I am a little further along atm ,with the missile pylons and strakes, and the resin intakes all fitted and fettled in ,but thats for next time Cheers all Glynn

  6. The exaust looks to be a bit easier to put together than my brassin one, looks like some intense research is going on too
  7. I'd love to ray, its the learning curve of the cad that holds me back from pulling the trigger on one
  8. Yes the undersides are the worse ,the rest being pretty crisp, your doing a fine job on yours though craig, mines probably at the same stage just need a bit of time to post, i reckon the steadyness of the gb reflects just how much work goes into this old kit mate

  11. Fine start, cockpit looks good , i reckon after looking at mine the fusalage halfs will go together without a step (i hope)
  12. I did a bit of oils ,and I know from past experience if you try to flat coat before it's properly dry it goes belly up ,so it's just sat there atm, I shall get it done by the weekend, we'll done again on the sue ๐Ÿ‘
  13. Looking good sam, yes as with mine much fettling is required before committing to glue on any part of these kits, did you alter the angle of the winglets on the intakes, they were set at a silly angle on my D kit
