  1. Some month ago, Mr C asked me to show you the WIP of my Ford GT40. I declined , but after the success of the Talbot revival WIP,

and with the slow Citroën WIP, I'm going to show you my first 100% scratchbuilt, except, as usual, tires ( Another Monogram Deuce gift!) and rims,

3D resin printed on an industrial machine, by courtesy of a friend of mine...
My apologize dear Mr C, you had a good idea, thanks, I repair now I hope for your and others pleasure!
    We are in 2005.

    The result first, as usual...

A few precisions... As the real car, the body will be in fiberglass, and the "tube" metal. In part in fact,

at that time my bodywork knowledge was not enough...

Who say fiberglass, of course has to firstly work on a "master", to realize a mold.
For now, may be I have to put those pics on Maritime Modelling forum...

I started on a MarkII, but the MarkI shape is to my eyes more beautiful...

It will be a MarkI !

  2. Still alive! For the moment...
Painting, sanding, painting, sanding and this not the end!
First step on the achievement of the doors too.

It's incredible, but for the junction roof/body, you can't immagine
    hours number spent.

As usual, at home nothing is only glued. You can see here somme "rivets". Of course this

    piece is not finished...

And you invite her on a rainy day! Result guaranteed.

Sunny day today. But working on the roof an wings.

As you can see, some putty was needed:

When bolts and nuts can't be used, riveting with aluminum rivets.

  4. Of course I'm very honored.
    Touched too...
I think honestly it will be my best model. I will not do anything better.
I'm proud to your kind words and your kindness.
    Thank you very much .

Hope my English will translate my idea in fine shape. I'm not sure, sorry...

    Today, the last detail, mirrors.

Some metal forming, but the end!

  8. Well, it's much better! When you have to work on brass leaf springs, you should use a burnishing product, not paint. With paint you lose the different leafs...
You can see here the difference, more realistic to my eyes:

    201006115051955780.jpg

    201006115052468985.jpg

And in the real life, paint on leaf springs is an aberration, it's just for Pebble Beach...
