It's marked 126 in the new boxing. Phil -
I've not seen many images of blue Eric ecm pods fitted post Falklands, so you're not committed to fitting one if you're doing a sqn machine. Phil

Why, oh why does airfix supply the pitot tube moulded to the nose ? Was still attached last Night, but can't find it anywhere now, fortunately the GR3 has the GR1 nose on the runner, but will leave it off now till the end. Phil
-
Right then, better concentrate on the GR1, then on to the t-birds birds. Phil

Just finished in the Hawker Siddeley GB Airfix kit with freightdog tail, xtradecal decals, painted with a hairy stick and Humbrol enamels. Sorry about the pictures. Phil

Nearly there. A few more touch ups and the undercarriage to decal, then into the gallery tomorrow. Phil

Got both in the stash, will have a go after I've cleared the bench of 1/72 harriers. Phil

I wonder if the Revell cockpit will fit into the airfix hawk? Phil
-
So, if I've got this right, the Revell kit combines an early model airframe with late model bang seats ? When did the long fillet come in to service ? Phil
-
Not much progress to show on the GR3 tonight, painting undercarriage and touch ups, so given the GR1 a first coat. More to follow tomorrow.... Phil
-
Woo hoo, main airframe stencilling done Undercarriage tomorrow night then that's one down three to go. Phil
-
No need to apologise, any excuse to talk about harriers. Phil
-
Must no forget the GR1, progressing slowly alongside the GR3. Phil
-
Another day of decalling, slow progress but we're getting there. Phil
-
Airfix does a decent GR1, GR3 and av-8a all from the base kits as used above. Not sure about sea harriers, I think all of then have issues. Phil
-
You can't have too many harriers Phil
