Thanks for the RN part, I always just assumed it would stay as RM for Regie Marine, but that doesn't make much sense thinking about it! I am going to have to edit the above! Do you happen to know why they went for a green hull?

Hi, This is my first post so hopefully I have put it in the right place. I'm currently finish a trumpeter 1/350 scale zulu and so I have started researching my next build the hobby boss 1/350 RNPola. She is an Italian cruiser and I'm looking forward to getting started on her, however I am wondering about the hull colouring. The images provided and suggested paint show a red hull, however I was of the belief that italian ships of the period had green hulls? does anyone know for sure? and if so what green is it? I like the idea of having a green hulled ship as it should make it stand out amongst the others. Thanks in advance!
