  1. Such a nice scheme and well-executed as well. Great to see your rigging go on so well.
  2. I can't see them either, and as a resident of Eglinton in Oz, please note the spelling . Our village was named after Eglinton in Ireland, originally called Muff (!) and the location of RNAS Eglinton where your invisible Gannet was based
  3. Very nice result in that scale - nice details and finish. Well done! Its a pity that this kit is so expensive down here in Oz, usually over $35.
  4. Lovely job, well done with that finish and the wee 'copain'
  5. I am not an airliner modeller as my skills have never included getting a seam-free and curved upper fuselage finish but it appears to me that the decals look fabulous in 1/144 as they appear to include curtains/blinds in different positions to mimic the real thing. As for the problem with bubbles in clear resin the simplest 'solution' in most cases is vibrate the fuselage either mechanically by placing it on a vibrating object () or gently and repeatedly tapping it to ease the bubbles out of the resin. Works a treat when I mould my own solid resin pieces. Hope that helps.
  6. Lovely job and it might inspire me to pull my kit out of the stash or doom! Well done. I assume the interior is painted the then-standard, chamois??
  7. That is just fabulous Jonners - great, neat construction, rigging and finishing - green with envy down here in Oz. Trust you are keeping well.
  8. You are a brave, brave man and I am very impressed with your build - well done!!
  9. Very nice little Basset, and I am delighted to see that Lord Airfix has made sure that the transparencies are a much better fit than in their first iteration of this kit. One I must look out for as I have already built two of the old ones which fought me all the way with those poor clear bits. Well done.
  10. Don't know why my message came out doubled - ahh, the mysteries of t'internet!!💩
  11. For me its a decent 1/72 RE8 - surely one is due soon to replace the Airfix monster. For me its a decent 1/72 RE8 - surely one is due soon to replace the Airfix monster.
  12. That is just gorgeous and inspires me to attempt to complete my Karaya 1/72 one which stalled a few years back when I discovered a few spots on the wings in which the resin had not cured properly so that no paint ever attaches itself to despite numerous attempts. I am going to scratch a pair of wings in plastic-card. Thank you for explaining so clearly your construction - much appreciated.
  13. Now that is truly the ultimate 'sow's ear into a silk purse' job . . just brilliant and the subtle panel work, especially underneath is fabulous - well done!!
  14. That's a pretty amazing paint job!! No masking ridges in sight - I stand in awe! Well done.
  15. A very classy result there!! That stand is just great and your treatment of the canopy and engine intakes is wonderful - definitely a model to be proud of - well done!!
  16. Brilliant progress Ian and I am delighted to see the work you have done since we discussed your efforts at APMA back in July - this should look just fabulous when finished.
  17. That is a very special model Jonners. Well done in your construction and finishing. Certainly a bit different from you daytime mount!!
  18. Very handsome replica - well done achieving such a good all-white finish, so difficult to get right.
  19. That is a splendid little replica, well done and I have not found those issues with Croco's models. I have just completed the Croco Miles M8 Peregrine and it was a great little kit - fitted perfectly, no bubbles, no broken parts and looks the part, but you need to look at AMWS ( Another Modelling Web Site) to see it as I am put off by the complicated manner of displaying photos on BM, although I love looking at everyone's work and always post positively when I do.
  20. Looks bl***y fantastic Ian - great to come back to see the process, as well as being able to see it "in the plastic" last weekend. Well done again and thanks for the step-by-steps. Now for a Deperdussin!!
  21. That really is a great job ob an aircraft that should be more widely available as an injected kit. I have recently completed the Esoteric IIID and yours looks much better than mine. We need a great number of kits of aeroplanes from the 1930s!! Come on Kit manufacturers!
  22. You have certainly done the old girl proud - great re-scribing and finishing. Now, as a 60sqn 'Flying Flat Iron' , was this the one that 'accidentally' shot down the Indonesian Herc??
