  21. The 6th title in our Build Guide Series, Building the Zoukei-Mura Ki-45 Kai Tei in 1/32 Scale by Jan Gabauer, turns 3 today. And to celebrate, for the next 7 days, we’ve reduced the price to just 9 Australian dollars! So, skip on over to our webstore and grab yourself a bargain! Kev
  22. I finished this one a few weeks back, and while I quite like the way it came it, for a variety of self-inflicted reasons, it wasn't really an enjoyable build. The decals are from Hawkeye Models Australia, though I had to replace the gold cheatline stripe with some from Intermodel. I also used some window decals from Authentic Airliners Decals. I only took a handful of photos of the finished model in the end, so here they are! Thanks for looking! Kev
  23. I’m pleased to announce that our next title will be Scratchbuilding the Hawker Fury in 1/18 Scale, by the fabulously talented Peter Castle, of airscale fame. Those of you who have seen Peter’s previous title, Building Race #80 Spitfire Mk XIVe in 1/18 Scale, will have an inkling of what to expect. This time, however, Peter is tackling a biplane, and building it entirely from scratch in his preferred 1/18 scale. The result, to no one’s surprise, is spectacular. Work has begun, but it’s too early to give any indication of when it will be available—though the target is September. Stay tuned for updates as they come to hand! Kev
  24. Phew, that was quick! Thanks to eagle-eyed customer Ferran Borrell for noticing that we’d misspelled the name of the pilot for Build 1, which occurs in the book no less than 213 times! Such are the advantages of digital publishing, however, that this rather egregious error was quick and easy to fix—and thus we now have v1.1 of Building the Wingnut Wings Pfalz D.IIIa in 1/32 Scale. This update is free for all existing purchasers, so if you’ve already bought and downloaded the book, we strongly encourage you to grab it again by simply re-downloading it—either from your account if you have one, or by using the original download link in your order confirmation email. To be sure you have the latest version, you can check the version number located at the bottom of the Copyright page (iii): Sample Copyright page taken from Building the Hasegawa Fw 190D-9 in 1/32 Scale New purchasers will automatically receive the corrected version, so there’s nothing to worry about there. Our sincere apologies for this rather perplexing oversight! Kev
  25. I’m pleased to announce that our latest title, Building the Wingnut Wings Pfalz D.IIIa in 1/32 Scale by Gary Boxall, is now available! In this 361-page eBook, award-winning modeller Gary Boxall describes the building, painting, and finishing process of three Wingnut Wings Pfalz D.IIIa kits! The first build uses Aviattic lozenge decals to portray Eugen Siempkamp’s Pfalz D.IIIa, and is a comprehensive guide to building the model. For the second build, Gary opts for a fully-painted finish to portray the markings of Hans-Georg von der Marwitz’s Pfalz D.IIIa. The third and last build sees Gary backdate the Wingnut Wings Pfalz D.IIIa kit to the earlier D.III, finished as Alois Heldmann’s aircraft. The book also includes tutorials on rigging, and masking & painting over decals, along with our usual Appendices of aftermarket products and reference material. And as with all our books, should any updates be required, anyone who purchased a prior version gets lifetime free access to all subsequent updated versions! All new purchasers will of course receive the updated version automatically. So, dash on over to our webstore and grab yourself a bargain! Kev
