  1. I purchased some Revell Contacta Professional Glue a few weeks ago for the first time and I'm struggling to use it. I removed the black cover from the needle and have tried squeezing the blue bottle but no glue comes out. Do I need to unscrew the yellow plastic part/needle and remove something stopping the flow of glue or is the needle blocked with glue? The needle doesn't unscrew easily and I don't want to force it off unnessessarily. Thanks for any advice you can give on what is likely to be a very simple question .
  2. That's amazing, looks like a car Cruella Deville would drive while hunting Damations. Inspired idea for a group build, too.
  3. Will search for your pics. Keep up the good work!
  4. Fantastic! I have the Revell glitterbug waiting to be started.
  5. Ace! Have you done the Ed Roth Surfite yet or is it on the to do list?
  6. Great build. I enjoy your choice of leftfield models.
  7. That is staggeringly good. Based on the quality of this build it'll be a while before I post my first "completed" kit on here... May I ask, did you design and print the graphics yourself?
  8. Sterling progress already... I painted my Caddy Fiat Portofino Blue, which isn't a million miles away from the colour you've chosen. I remember my Dad being so impressed with the metallic blue paint, he went a bought a Fiat Coupe in the same colour...
  9. Had a few Mk1s but never a 3 or a Corrado. Corrados seen pretty rare, now. Just googled the Kamei Berg thinking it was an Aircooled Gene Berg tuned car... Now I see it's a MK1 Golf, I remember having a simple RC model of that car when I was a kid. That must have been in the early 80's. I Love these retro race liveries. I'm trying the convince a mate of mine that he should let me Martini livery his white 944 (I'm a graphic designer). A project I'd like to do for myself is a raised "New" Beetle tribute of the Tamiya Monster Beetle RC car. A colleague at work has had a red "New" Beetle for about 15 years. I'm hoping to get my hands on that. I too like my VWs and currently run an 08 Passat estate for dog/bike/family duties and a new Polo GTI for giggles. I'm mostly a fan of the Aircooled cars though but space and budget doesn't really allow at the moment. I was lucky enough to meet Gene Berg and have his wife show me round the factory in the early 90s. That was awesome.
  10. I "did" a VW Caddy over 20 years ago. That was a real one though... I really liked the U.S. mini truck scene at the time and being into VWs I decided to modify a Caddy. Mine VW was lowered considerably all round. I added a MK2 GTI interior and a MK2 Golf GTI "big" front bumper. Wheels were polished 15" polished alloys. Rear end was smoothed off and the pick up bed was boxed in and housed speakers and a sub. I painted it metallic blue... Didnt realise a Caddy kit was available. Think I need to track one down and build a tribute to my old car as reading your post has brought many great memories of that car flooding back. looking forward to seeing your kit build.
  11. I'm torn between producing and printing decals or masking and spraying for a Kraftwerk Tour De France tribute Renault 4 Van I'm planing. I will look forward to watching your model progress.
  12. Interesting looking car. Are the different colour panels to be masked and painted or are large decals supplied?
  13. Wow, that looks amazing. How do you highlight all the seams in the fuselage? They look to be filled with black which really makes the detail jump out.
  14. Love that (though as an air cooled VW fan I'm biased). Nerf bars look great, as does its stance. Did the kit come with an option to lower it
  15. Many thanks for the info. I have a Renault 4 van I want to build up as a Kraftwerk Tour de France support vehicle. Artwork isn't an issue but wasn't sure what to print on.
  16. That's a great looking model. What kind of paper did you use and where did you get it from for printing your own decals?
