  2. You should delete 'F' and 'P-40F released' from the title. This kit is short run and issued a few years ago. It has nothing to do with the imminent P-40E and N. Hans
  3. Dear John, I still have a Proctor Mk.IV from Novo/Frog. Do I have to get rid of it? Or is the Mk.IV external so different from the Mk.III that it can exist next to the new Mk.III? Or simplifying my question: what is the external difference? Thanks for your answer, Hans
  4. ......... and now the Cessna 180, the De Havilland DH-9, the Vought OS2U Kingfisher and the Curtiss Hawk 75 with Cyclone engine. Hans
  5. The first 40 (D1 - D40) had straight wing tips. This version can be built out of the Amodel box. This version was superseded by the Do 24 in 1938/39. The last six (D41 - D46) were different in more than one aspect. They had a keel as opposed to the flat bottom of the Amodel. They had rounded wingtips, and the wing had a span of 27.20 m against 23.20 m of the first model. So Amodel should have made a very different model. For the later model, the defunkt Huma model was a good basis. I am very anxious for the new Amodel. By the way, the boxart is historicaly inaccurate. When they countered the Japanese, the planes were camouflaged in a dark grey - bluegrey colour with a small number under the tailplane (like the Do 24's) and of course with the orange triangle instead of the red-white-blue roundel . D43 was shot down by Japanese on March 2nd 1942 near Surabaja - Java. Cheers Hans
