  2. Stix, Well, these snow scenery depictions are so awesome once done and finished, but so hard to achieve I'd assume. Never done one, never will I guess, looking at your paint skills, and the structured progress you are showing, this is amazing.   5. I "cut" mine, works well with a super-tiny drill. I live close to the R*** brewery and we got rid of it at the NC World Cup which we are hosting as it is just so bad^^. You need to freeze it (to disguise its taste), then you can eat it.^^ You should try Waldhaus (depending on where you live^^). Winterbier is always good, less hope more malt, alcohol and sweetness to it. Prost. Opening a Fürstenberg Winterbier now, haha. Will try and get a Altenmünster once I am in Stuttgart next week, never had it before.
  6. Ahhhhhhhhh, I spotted the Rothaus in a previous post's picture, how on earth can you drink that? I am having a head ache now! Btw: Are you going to cut/drill through the turret vision slits on the 1/16 tiger?
  7. Getting better with every update. I had missed the last one... Modern armour is so complicated with all the extra armour and stuff... Looking good, also with all the glass...
  8. I find fibreglass pencils also to work great for smoothing styrene in tiny corners and edges. They are one of those must have tools, which I only learned about recently also. I was not aware that you could use them to clean solder, thanks for sharing this. Keep on rocking the Jagdtiger, it is a nice one. /Stefan
  9. Can you bend the tracks back into shape when placing them in hot water? Tracks are of a different plastic, but does it work just like styrene and such? Heat, bend and reshape them, or are they too elastic for this to work? The detail is looking good. In 1/35 this thing would be even crazier. Prost, /Stefan

  11. Julian, thanks, but these plans and manuals are still fighting back, I need tougher weapons! I am reading your update thereafter, been a while. The plans include many pages on the ash pan, but there are two different versions, it took me a while to figure this, as I neglected one part at first. We need the "Ho 5" specification, the "Ho 3" labelled ones seem to be the ones for the bar frame. The 1943 film, for which plate frame engines were used, solely shows the "Ho 5" versions, this sucks, as it makes the construction much more difficult as the front and rear do have additional air inlets, which the "Ho 3" versions do not have. However, there are less bent parts and rounded shapes which makes it easier with regards to glueing and shaping them. The BR50 must have used the "Ho 3" and to increase the efficiency of the fire box, more air inlets must have been added and more flat parts used (to free up tooling machinery). Red rectangles show the most visible differences, which make it easy to spot the "Ho 5" (Type 2) version on the black/white pictures. The green rectangles, marking the extra air intake on the upper sides also help. Yellow circles indicate further deviations. [EDIT: My assumption was wrong, the Type 2 ones do show a bar frame on the drawing, so the different shapes have nothing to do with the frame type, but it must have sth to do with the BR50/BR52 changes and modifications, as such very early 52s might have the type one "Ho 3" ash pans while later ones received the "Ho 5" ones maybe.....] After all this technical lala...at least some plastic: Not much, but prepared the trap doors for the lower ash pan and added the supporting angles covering the front and rear air intake mesh screens. Next step, I will fill in the gaps, cut, file and sand the parts correctly into shape and get them to look nicely. Part 12.2 has too wide cutouts, so I need to do that one again, while 12.1 is just fine. /Stefan
  12. Interesting method. I use small but strong tweezers. The cement will bond quicker and better if you slightly touch sth else (trash-worthy and old junk plastic) with the tips beforehand (only works if both sides are treated with glue in advance)
  13. Hey. thanks for the info and link there. I did that before, however I need them with the length of the bolt so it is better, quicker and cheaper (saving me hundreds of hours) buying them^^.

No special skills, simply learning by doing and patience (of which I have very little/none as my brother claims), you'll notice in a few weeks you'll be able to do the same stuff. Thanks man. Glad you seem to approve my stuff. Thx Glynn. I am not sure if it will all fit in the end.... I am worried about the cabin and the ashpan ...So many parts...and a bit too complicated. I have already failed once with it...
  18. Soeren, find below some pictures and info on the process: The tools and the architecture board with sliding panels on the side, to evenly slide the ruler... Using the above-explained scribing technique, it is quite ok to get this right. Below the new cabin floor parts, at least some of them- Preparation and construction of the new ash pan. At least this is how I am doing all this. There are more rulers and shapes I use, I did not want to spam the photo with too much stuff. Very thin metal rulers are important for the scribing. As I said, there might/will be better ways of doing this, but I feel it is ok like this. Some 3D view fun with the new frame parts: /Stefan

  20. Hi, I need about 1600 nuts and bolts and some rivets between 0.5mm and 1.3mm. I know master club, are there, according to you, better ones or is it good to go with them? Considering the amount, I won't settle for average... Thanks for your help.

  22. Awesome! Thanks for your input regarding the IBG/Thunder Models comparison. Regarding the lens and lease... Hadn't they thought: poo-poo, now I need to learn how to drive and sit on the wrong side(from their perspective)... and use the left instead of the right hand for the stick shift.... Or were the lend and lease ones changed to a left side steering one?

  24. Great progress, I'm loving it.😂😂😂. I got a quick question though... OIn you last picture with the sandbags, the driver has no vision slit and would be blind... On the photo (your original real m4 one ) the drivers field of view is secured by a Metal in a U shaped manner (wrong way round)... the wrong way round U protects the vision port from being blocked I assume? I am no Sherman expert, it just looks weird, poor driver.^^
