"What happens when you land on the wrong aircraft carrier?"
John Laidlaw replied to Slater's topic in Real Aviation
It did actually happen: -

Just about holding the line, ta! Hope life's good for you. -
Very glad to see these fellows back.

I am currently reading the style guide provided by one of our customers. The customer is a large, multi-national company that can well afford to produce style guides for its operation and service manuals for its products. On the first page of the guide are the following list items: More powerful, cleaner sentence structure More precise meanings Comma and conjuction Proofread carefully Things like these are why I drink, and why I'm increasingly looking forward to retirement. đź‘Ź

Special Hobby 1/72 Supermarine Seafire Mk.45
John Laidlaw replied to AliGauld's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
That's a cracker there, Alistair! Nice variations on the standard camouflage pattern too, so it's eye catching. Lovely, as usual. -

That is pretty spectacular, Cookie! As always, with your builds. -
Crikey, she's good!

1:48 Boulton Paul Defiant ASR Mk.I
John Laidlaw replied to Dunny's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
And another superb model is created! Lovely work, Roger. -
Good to know it wasn't just me. As soon as my motivation returns, I'll take a shot at fixing it.

My latest: gluing the wing halves together on the Airfix Vampire T.11 only to realise I hadn't fixed the tail booms in place. My workbench is now clear until I can trust myself not to break anything.

A kit which would scar your psyche forever! Send it straight to me to ensure your peace of mind.

I was lured to Gambody yesterday as they've released a Thunderbird 2 STL set. As they have fairly regular sales, I'm going to wait until they drop the price a bit. But when I was there, I saw they had the NCC-1701-E on sale, so I grabbed it and applied the credit I had in my account. Nice and cheap. It's going to take some figuring out, printing wise, but should be fun.

May I ask which resin you use now?

Two 500 messages within a couple of minutes, starting at approximately 07:23 CDT. This was unique in my experience as the first one happened after the topic I'd gone to ( https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235125350-my-old-panther-g-late-version-with-a-new-look/) had already loaded. Very odd. The second 500 happened when I selected "View New Content".

In addition to the worst case of anti-mojo I've ever had, here's the other reason I've not completed a model in ages. This is Percy doing his best to cheer me. He actually - along with his brother, Oliver - does a great job, but it does eat into my model-building time something fierce.

Contrail 1/72 vac form HP-42
John Laidlaw replied to Lucius Molchany's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
That's a brilliant piece of work! Nice choice of scheme, too. -
Crikey, that's a good one. Thanks for that, Keith!

The usual sounds of 737s and A320s heading to and from Mitchell were briefly drowned out by two KC-135Rs from, I believe, the Wisconsin ANG. They don't normally show up on Flightradar24, but today they did:

Happy birthday, Mike!

I hadn't seen that! Thanks, Col - I shall give it the good old college try.
