  1. Perfection, well presented with its Swordfish prop mod.
  2. A very good looking build, goes well with the other carrier aircraft you’ve built. A lot of detail in this scale, well done.
  3. Firefly That is true, I could consider a small run of resin replicas bud. Perhaps in the summer. apologies to all, I thought I’d posted this in Ready For Inspection - Sorry guys enjoy anyway.
  4. Here's the single gun fire button type in the same display case: Enjoy
  5. It feels good at 1:1 and all the items work, fire button press' 3 ways, camera button works and the parking brake moves and locks.
  6. Hello BM's Find below images of my recently designed (in fusion 360) and built late mark Spitfire Spade Grip for cannons and guns. Having designed my own grips for a number of years I decided to add to the collection the later mark of fire button for cannon and gun fighters. It has taken about 3 weeks to design and 3D print the new trigger. Casts were made of this and the button was cold cast from aluminium and brass mixed with resin. Here's the finished article in a display case. Enjoy
  7. This is a top notch build, Al Deere would be proud of it, spookily enough, I was standing next to Kiwi III today!?
  8. Stunning if not brilliant - the paint work looks awesome pal, well done
  9. Evening all Thanks for all the comments and support on this build, I've got a few minor projects on but the next panel is a Mosquito for sure! For note, I donated this build to the RAF Coningsby Heritage Centre for free. Finding what the ASI correction card actually looked like was one of the hardest parts of the build - (Thanks goes to Pat, RAF Scampton tour guide for showing me the real item). enjoy!! Mad Al
  10. BMs Thanks for the support guys, a lot of you have helped along the way. Junglierating - Its exactly that, A Lancaster with 2 less engines. As the Lanc gathered production and interest they did introduce other instruments and Navigational kit up front. Switches started to move around as the panel became crowded. I think the Manchester panel looks sparse in comparison. regards
  11. Evening BMs Its been exactly a year ago that I was tasked with producing an AVRO Manchester Bomber Instrument Panel (Full Size) for the RAF Coningsby Heritage Centre. Its been a long build as its totally scratch built using Fusion 360 Software, x2 Creality CRS-10 Pro 3D printers, resin casting from hand made silicon moulds (for this project) along with many hours of research to make sure its as accurate as possible. You can see the full build on this site at the following link - AVRO Manchester The completed Item: Section by section: Boxed: Wall mounted: Already looking at possibly a Mosquito or a Hurricane Panel for the next build. Enjoy
  12. Good Evening BMs To the completion of the build! The final touches being the fitment of the Blind Flying Panel to the backing plate (3 bolts hold it in place to the back plate): It was next the turn of the AVRO logo and the data/info plates: AVRO: Data plates: It is a big panel and so far the largest project I've taken on: The box was made from pine and glazed last week by a local carpenter and picture framer. Here the panel is test fitted into the box. Some slight adjustments and a bit more paint before its complete (inner side panels need painting white): The side walls are now painted white and screwed in place. I fitted a French Cleat to the back for easy fitment to the wall: And finally, a test fit to its display wall in the heritage centre, ready for unveiling in the near future. Sorry about the glare but its the best I could do at the time. Hope you've enjoyed this build. Ill post more pics on the "Ready For Inspection" page. Catch you on the next build - probably a Mosquito!!!??? Respect, fellow modellers!
  13. Nice job buddy, looking forward to your next project.
  14. Good Evening BMs The mounting and the board displays have been the interest of this weekend. First off I designed the AVRO logo which would sit inside the box to show which company the Manchester came from (that's AVRO for those that don't know). Again all done in fusion: Then to the printer: Then clean up and final paint: It actually looks really good! Now onto the mounting along with painting of the back board. The first thing was to drill out the holes for the spacer pegs which will attach the panel and the board together, I printed off quite a few: Simply push the screw from underneath: Then screw on the spacer: Then repeat: I leave these spacers in place for the painting: Then screw the panel on top of the spacers: Thanks for the support guys Enjoy
  15. Chris nice to see all the correct aerials are in place, often left off, nicely done bud.
  16. Evening BM's The spacers/attachment points to the backboard. As I mentioned above its simply a spacer which I inserted 2 nuts (as part of the print process), one side for the panel screws and the other for the backboard. Like so: These also give the gap behind the panel for all the instrument attachment bolts etc: It gives it that nice distance off the board: Enjoy
  17. Botha someone is already on the Botha Johnny, I can’t pinch his thunder.
  18. Afternoon BM's Thanks for the comments above guys much appreciated. I have yet to do an American aircraft Zac, I always wanted to do the Bell X1???? I will do one soon though. As for another Spit panel, If you want me to Clio although I really want to make a Mosquito next. Any ideas on which Mk? Im still printing off the leg/spacers to attach the panel to the back board. Ill have pics soon Regards
  19. Good evening BM's Today I've attached all the ident plates I made last week. I use paper clips which make ideal small rivets. These are like split pins in the sense that they have 2 legs which I open on the back of the panel which holds the plates in place. easy fitting: The panel needs mounting to the board which I will start tomorrow by printing spaces containing screws which I will be able the screw the panel onto with the original panel screw holes. You'll see what I mean. Enjoy
