  1. That is stunning! I’ve always had a soft spot for the F-100 and that really is a superb NMF.
  2. Yes, it’s good to know people open the inside! A friend of mine works (volunteers) for Classic Wings at Duxford.
  3. Gorgeous photos and lovely to see the Firefly close-up!
  4. Many thanks @Giorgio N! I’ll try and get the Hataka paint, but if not my local shop sells Tamiya. All the very best!
  5. Ooooh! I like that!! A lot!! Stunning representation of one of the most gorgeous aircraft ever designed in one of the best schemes she was adorned with. Congratulations on this one.
  6. Hi all! I have searched but only found the answer to the question when pained in Black/Green. I’m certain the grey is MSG, but which exact green is used in the Grey/Green scheme? Also which paint would be the best match? Thanks in advance!
  7. Hi dwh, Steve over at Hiroboy is your friend… https://www.hiroboy.com/Tyrrell_Blue_Paint_60ml--product--1922.html Hope that helps! Cheers, Mark
  8. My goodness Rob! What a great result from this kit. It’s in the stash in the Revell box, but now ICM have announced theirs I’d be hard pushed to get anywhere near the results that you have 👍
  9. A B-26 Marauder in TSS?? OK, I need to buy the ICM 1/48 kit now!! That is just so gorgeous!
  10. I'd be dead happy with that!! Excellent!!
  11. Thanks, everyone! I’ve decided on the phase hanger resin replacements 🙂
  12. Hi everyone. The A-10 series is, without doubt, one of my favorite aircraft and I’ve made a few in 1/48 from the old Tamiya kit as well as the Monogram one too. All with their various failings of course. So I was quite excited about the new Academy A-10C and mine arrived today! But in the meantime I have learned that the fan is too far forward and the exhausts are a bit ‘wrong.’ I’m not really a rivet counter but will, when it’s an easy fix, get replacement parts to fix errors such as this. A quick search online shows a couple of 3D printed replacements by Def Model and Phase Hanger Resin. So before I go and click ‘Buy’ has anyone had any experience with these sets and how accurate are they really?
  13. I keep coming back to this and seeing more and always forget that this is a 1/72nd scale kit! I have a couple of the Hasegawa kits that I will do at some point, one Royal Navy, the other Royal Air Force and will definitely be using this thread for reference. How’s Abu Dhabi these days? I was next door in Dubai for 8 years…
  14. I have an affinity with all things Short Bros. as it was at Rochester that I began my own career in aviation byway of cleaning the PA28s, C172s and DR400s that were privately owned there. I no longer clean aircraft, but certainly reminisce those halcyon days. My Dad also worked at Marconi-Elliotts at Rochester airport in the 1970s, oh, and I was born within ten minutes of the airfield. It is quite incredible to think that this relatively small grass airfield was the site of the maiden flight of the Stirling! I’m following this one with keen interest Tom!
  15. Great job on your Wildcat and congratulations to Mrs. Spitfire Madman on choosing such a gorgeous scheme!
  16. Hi Tom! It’s been a while since I checked in, but WOW!! Incredible work, as always.
  17. The one thing that I’ve taken away from this thread is how pretty the M-17 is! 💖
  18. I love it!! A real blast from the past as I remember making this kit as my first multi-engined model, way, way back in the early 70s!
  19. Hi and thanks for sharing the photos, she’s certainly an eye-catching build and great painting skills on show!
