  1. Many thanks to you all. There are obviously more ways than one of skinning a cat.
  2. Thanks for your advice. That product is available in the UK. I will get hold of it and give it a try. It sounds promising.
  3. Thank you for your advice. Your first assumption is correct. The micro holes were there on the top surfaces of the wings all along. I never saw them until the white primer was applied. I can even insert the tip of a fine pin into most of them. They were not apparent after the initial coat of Halfords Grey Primer. That is an Auto acrylic primer which has excellent adhesion to the substrate. I use it because I am not convinced that Vallejo acrylics always etch well on resin. I will do as it’s a disease says. In fact I have on order AK Interactive White Primer and Microfiller but it has not yet been delivered.
  4. I am building a Planet Models Martin Baker MB 5. It is a resin kit to 1/72 scale. I have just reached the finishing stage and sprayed the model with Halfords Grey Primer. A nice finish resulted. I then airbrushed a coat of Vallejo White Primer and to my horror there are micro holes all over the upper surfaces of the wings. How do I get rid of them? I know there are micro fillers but are they going to fill the panel lines as well as the micro holes? Can you help please.
  5. You are absolutely right. I found the missing Model Colour 870 Medium Sea Grey on Vallejo’s website. The colours are much easier to find because they categorise them into greys, blues, reds etc. Many thanks.
  6. Their website claims that they stock the full range of Vallejo paints.
  7. Thank you for your responses. The trouble is I cannot find Model Colour 870 Medium Sea Grey on E Models website which is supposed to list all the Vallejo colours. I have been through their lists several times and 870 is not there.
  8. I too have found this thread very helpful having changed from using Humbrol paints to Vallejo acrylic paints even though their numbering system has driven me bananas. Just one question. What Vallejo paint would you recommend for Dark Sea Grey? I have read carefully through the thread which covers Ocean Grey, Medium Sea Grey and Extra Dark Sea Grey respectively identified as 836, 870 and 867. Dark Sea Grey is missing. Help please. Of the colours mentioned I cannot find 870 (Medium Sea Grey) in Vallejo’s list. Any thoughts?
  9. You are right. I had’nt seen that. By the way you could have left the canopy off. It was left off for its first and only flight to aid the pilot’s exit in the event of an emergency. Just as well as it turned out. Is there any cockpit detail? I have never seen a photo of the interior and suspect that none exists.
  10. That is a very nice model of a beautiful aircraft. Just one suggestion. The front end of the cowling has four square bulges to cover the.forward section of the Napier Sabre engine. These are quite noticeable in contemporary photographs but difficult to reproduce on a model.
