  1. Progressing towards end.... Preshading is done, as well as painting of radome cone, wheelbay and exhaust pipe. Some masking of these areas to follow, and we're after painting cammo... finally! Cheers, S.
  2. Assembling has started - this is last night's achievement Cheers, S.
  3. Thanks Col. Yes, usage of putty was mimimal, but I have a feeling I could avoid it almost fully if I have put some less lead balast into nose - that made fitting a bit harder so fuselage halves didn't match quite well on few places.
  4. Thanks for the support and kind words mates As always, I'll try to do my best. Panther was a real challenge to assemble due to those tiny PE sideskirt holders, but also to paint sideskirts separately. Giving a small glance at this one, it doesn't seem to me more complicated than Panther, so I expect one enjoyable build. I'm closest to the boxart livery, so this will be some more practice with winter-wash techniques Cheers, S.
  5. Here is the kit I will tackle during this GB... ...enhanced a bit with PE Eduard set and Armorscale metal barrel. See you soon with in progress photos Cheers and good luck to all of us, S.
  6. Wash was applied on all three 'cats... F-14A, VF-84 Jolly Rogers ("Final Countdown" movie) F-14A, VF-142 Ghostriders F-14D, VF-101 Grim Reapers Cheers, S.
  7. Finally some visible progress - all of the major parts assembled, only canopy and windshield remain to be glued, and we're ready for primer.... Cheers, S.
  8. And finally the end of decaling saga! Revell missed two decals for vertical tails - red tops - they gave only 2 decals and you need 4. Oh well, paintbrush is always at the disposal Also, accidentally I broke off pitot tube, but it will be replaced with thin wire. F-14D, VF-101 Grim Reapers Cheers, S.
  9. Second one is finished with decals - I had problems with them as they were very prone to breaking so I gave up decals on missiles - I will paint those stripes with thin brush... F-14A, VF-142 Ghostriders Cheers, S.
  10. Today I've started with decaling. First one is finished, two other kittens will be more colorful too in following days F-14A, VF-84 Jolly Rogers ("Final Countdown" movie) Cheers, S.
  11. Revell 1/72 Pz.Kpfw. V Panther Ausf. G (Sd.Kfz. 171) - Gunze acrylics - Eduard and Extratech Photoetched sets - RB model metal gun barrel - Artistic oils wash - MIG pigments for subtle weathering Cheers, S.
  12. Finally finished, not very pleased with the look/colour of spare tracks and few other details, but overall I think it's not so bad... Cheers, S.
  13. Ready and waiting for the start Kit is right here, ready to be unpacked
  14. All 3 kittens received black antiglare surfaces... F-14A, VF-84 Jolly Rogers ("Final Countdown" movie) F-14A, VF-142 Ghostriders F-14D, VF-101 Grim Reapers Cheers, S.
  15. New year, and new steps... on old kits Today I've sprayed Light Gull Grey on two F-14As... F-14A, VF-84 Jolly Rogers ("Final Countdown" movie) F-14A, VF-142 Ghostriders And "the family" at the current state... Cheers, S.

  17. Well, let's not waste time despite of having an extension! As I use Gunze acryilics, I've painted the rest of the camo in one pass - both Brown (less red in vivo than on these photos!) and Olive Green have been applied. I'll leave it to rest for few days and then I'll give it a coat of gloss varnish as a surface for decals. Cheers and Happy New Year mates - all the best! Srđan
  18. Yup, pretty nasty gaps on fuselage/wings joints, and that has effect on the nose area too, but as I see you're doing some pretty good salvation steps, so keep following your work till the end
  19. Hmmm... Blitzbuild pt.1 seem like Doc and Marty from "Back to the future" organized it - start: 29.05.2021 - end: 31.05.2003. (or 3003?)
  20. As an administrator on one other scale modelling forum, I know how hard can it be when you try to fulfill everyone's wish, and on the other hand to be sharp and decisive when rules are to be applied. Britmodeller is faaaaar bigger forum than our local, so I can only imagine what it looks like being in Enzo's shoes! (not literally of course ). So, Enzo, my deepest admiration for all the work you did so far here - these latest tunings (tidying up everything and reorganizing GB subforums) are really big work but also made so much some order, and everything is now much easier to find. Also, 95% of my being on Britmodeller forum is just right here - in GB section, so I can tell you that I almost feel like at home when I share my scalemodelling projects and thoughts with you mates! I wish you all Happy New 2021, with hope that it brings us all a lot more fun than worries that 2020. did! Take care, stay safe and healthy, and.. well.. it's holidays time - on to the food and drinks... + kits of course Cheers and sincere greetings from Belgrade, Serbia! Srđan
  21. Yes, although older kit, it has very nice details and panels surface that "overlap" - didn't see this so far on many newer kits. You're doing good work so far, keep going! Cheers, S.
  22. I've had some trouble during assemblying lower fuselage/wings with upper ones - panel lines on nose part didn't match, so had to glue whole winga a bit to the front, leaving huge gap on the rear joint of wings and fuselage. Cowling also needed some styrene inserts to properly match its halves. You can see what it looked like here: https://srkirad.wordpress.com/2014/05/29/fine-molds-mitsubishi-a7m2-reppu-06/ I'm curious whether this was just my example erroneous or it's mould error generally. Overall nice kit, and pretty big when finished - P-47 level Cheers, S.
  23. Woaaaah! So new deadline is Jan 17th? I've just planned to force myself today to finish the cammo in order to be able to finish all other processes (gloss varnish, decals, another protective gloss layer, wash, final varnish, details....) One extra week definitely gives me a bit of breather! Thanks a lot! Cheers, S.
  24. Thanks for the kind words mates, I'm glad you like it. @JOCKNEY Hvala! (thanks for the serbian comments!) Cheers and all the best! S.
  25. Thanks so much mates, I'm glad you like it. It really is tiny and with this camouflage it has its charm in my display case now Cheers and wishing you all the best in forthcoming 2021! S.
