  1. Very nice Tiger Stix. Don't often see you in this scale in AFVs. John.
  2. I like everything about this MD. The model and the figures are excellent, as too is the bridge and the water. First class modelling. John.
  3. I told you that others would come to mind. City to City. Night Owl. Love Over Gold. Brothers in Arms. John.
  4. I never got to see any off the really big groups when they were still touring, but I have seen a few times, The Illegal Eagles, and Australian Floyd. Both absolutely fabulous. A couple of other stand out performances were when we went to see acts that SWMBO wanted to see. One, at a venue in Brentwood, Essex, was Hot Chocolate. Errol Brown sure had a brilliant voice. And the other one was Elvis Presley. He was projected onto a screen and backed up on stage by his original orchestra, plus The Jordanaires. I have to say that it was very impressive. But as far a best and worst, well that would be the same group......Tangerine Dream. I've seen them many times, but for me the best performance was at the Shepherds Bush Empire, in 2014 for The Phaedra Farewell concert. Absolute TD classic. Not long after that, Edgar Froese died, and the group took on a different direction. I went to a concert in W. London somewhere to see them, and was so disappointed, that I told my son, who was with me, that that would be the last concert of theirs that I would attend. And it was. They changed the sounds of everything so much, that they were two thirds of the was through one of the tracks from Ricochet, before I recognised it. Sad. John.
  5. That is a superb model. The detail that you've put into it is first class. Very nice work. John.
  6. Thanks for those shots Ian. They are going to be very useful in my build. One thing that it made me do was to examine the 1/48th model that I did of an early Battleaxe Crusader, and lo and behold, it has confirmed how those spare links would have been attached on the top of the track guard. Thanks again. John.
  7. Good subject, and good to see you back gain Antoine. John.
  8. I hope so Mate. Wobbly cammo....yes I like that John.
  9. Nice work Matt. That looks really good, and the figures turned out very well also. John.
  10. I refer the honourable gentleman to my previous remarks. John.
  11. The scuffed paintwork looks poodles privates, but the bit that I really like is the dials on the control panel. Top notch. John.
  12. Hi Ian. Thanks for the comments, and glad to have you along. Yes, there's every possibility that this tanks was one of the 50 knocked out. Are there any useful photos in whatever publication you were reading? John.
  13. Definitely! Eclectic is my middle name (No it's not, it's Douglas). But I really do have a very wide range of music likes. Apart from 50's R&R, I like most of the 60s, 70s, and 80s music. In my collection, in my hobby room, I also have quite a few Country singers, such as Shania Twain, Chely Wright, The Dixie Chicks, and of course, Don Williams. A lot of real Delta Blues is also to my liking, such as Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee. The classics also feature heavily in my collection, especially Tchaikovsky and Strauss. And a final genre is Big Bands such as Glen Miller, Benny Goodman and for individuals, Earl Bostic. John. PS. Trouble with a thread like this is that no sooner have you written your definitive list, then some more come to mind. Hence; Bridge Over troubled Water. Gracelands.
  14. Thanks Maddoxx. Glad to have you along. I should imagine that the Border Models version is more refined than the Italeri one, but it's still a good kit. John.
  15. That looks excellent Ivan. Those hoses are first class. John.
  16. Progressing very well Roger. I like the seat in the back. Nice work. John.
  17. As they say up north, That's a reet Bobby Dazzler. Great finish that you've achieved with this one Maddoxx. If I were to single one thing it would be the cover on the spare wheel. Very realistic. John.
  18. Blimey! You're up early Darryl. Yes, I see what you mean and you could be right. Those links are certainly not residing inside the normal spare link frame. I've removed that from mine. If no other photos show up, I'm going to go with your suggestion. Thanks mate. John.
  19. That looks superb and belies the fact that it's in 1.87th scale. Brilliant work. John.
  20. I must be the odd one out then, because although I was growing up in the late 50s and early 60's, I only ever play music from that time, now and again. I had a much older brother who was always buying 78RPM's of R&R legends such as Bill Haley, The Everly Brothers, Little Richard etc, and although my record buying started with an ex juke box Elvis recording, and went on to be dominated by The Beatles, Stones et al. when I'm working in my room, apart from the obvious Tangerine Dream CDs, I mostly play stuff from the 70s, 80s and a little from the 90s, but not much. So basically, my musical interest was programmed during my 30-50 year old period. ELO, Genesis, Super Tramp. For me, that is when some of the best groups and solo artists were around. I lost interest in everything else when Punk and then (C)rap took over. John.
  21. Looks like an interesting subject. Just remember though Rob, when it's finished, don't take it to the park and float it on the pond.. John.
  22. I'll see you 57, and raise you 65. I got hooked from the moment that I first heard Ricochet playing. I could add many of their albums to my list, but for outstanding ones I'd have to say; Ricochet Hyperborea Underwater Sunlight Exit & Poland. Agree with you about The Division Bell. I was playing it yesterday, along with A Momentary Lapse of Reason. Other than those, I would add; Out of the Blue. Born in the USA Breakfast in America So Invisible touch The Wall Magnetic Fields Tango in he Night. The Best of The Eagles. There are many more that I could add to the list, but they're my stand out ones. John.
  23. No, I can see it too Keith. I think it's an Everton supporter, and it's just seen last nights score against Chelsea Coming on very well MD, despite all of the fit problems. John.
  24. That was my thoughts exactly Darryl. You can have just so much of a good thing. Yes, a bit to early for that. They were still using hammer and nails. Certainly are a bit long in the tooth, but still good kits, especially if you're prepared to do some work on them. I'm not going to go overboard with this one. I'm saving that for the actual Mk.l kit that I have. Glad to have you watching Darryl. John.
