  1. Looks great! You did an excellent job! 🙂
  2. I like that too! This "mottling" technique is a new level in realism (IMHO) and I need to try it sometime. @dragan_mig31, any hints about how it's done?
  3. Mate! That's an awesome group of builds! I too find the Hellcat the most inspiring - my Eduard 1/72 kit is calling to me from the stash! 😬
  4. I've built a lot more planes than I have AFV's - in fact, no AFV's since I was a kid. Yet I have to admit I'd be well pleased if I could turn out an FW-190 as nice as yours. 👏👏👏
  5. There's nothing like an air racer to brighten things up. This looks so cool! The exhaust stain is very impressive. I don't have a steady enough hand to do that with an airbrush (not freehand anyway). Well done! 👏👏👍
  6. Great work! Quite a nice-looking plane (IMO) and you turned out an equally nice-looking model! 👍👍
  7. That is great! I love your approach to camouflage, using paper cut-outs! Very inspiring. Thanks for posting this. 👍👍
  8. Incredible! I rarely see such an uncompromising approach to detail and accuracy in 1/72 (and I am definitely not in that class, I can assure you). Even if the real aircraft could be shrunk to this scale, I think your build would still win the contest! Such close-up photography would be most unkind to my work; proving that your precision is next level! 😮 👏👏👏👏
  9. Great job! I like the look of the Canadair, although I've never seen one in the flesh. The slightly weathered finish on your build makes it look so realistic. 👏👏 BTW, that close-up photo is brilliant - so evocative!
  10. Astounding! I see builds of this quality quite often coming from Eastern Europe - must be something in the air. 🤔 Absolutely beautiful! 👏👏
  11. Hard to believe that's 1/72! Amazing detail and fine skills! Impressive! 👏👏
  12. This is my version of the "Air-a-Cutie", based on the Academy kit and DK Decals. TBH, I had not seen this scheme (if that is the right word) until I purchased the decal sheet, which features a variety of Pacific Theatre WW2 aircraft. At first, I felt I over-weathered it, but the photos don't look too bad - the aircraft got pretty dirty when operating out of New Guinea.
  13. Great pics! As I said, I really like it! Thanks for the extra info too! 👍
  14. Absolutely brilliant! It would be easy to dismiss such an old tooling, but your skilled work proves that a classic can look fantastic in the right hands. 👏👏👏
  15. Beautifully done! Very tidy! I'd be well pleased if I could get results like that every time. 👍👍🙂
  16. It's no surprise that you won the contest! That's a superb build! Congratulations. 👏👏👏
  17. Yeah, that looks great! The overall smooth finish and subtle weathering really look the part. 👏👏👍 I like it enough to want to get this kit myself one day (if it comes with the Vokes filter option).
  18. I don't have this kit, but it has fascinated me for a long time. You've done a fantastic job of it - the complex scheme and the weathering + paint wear. Damn good all-round! 👏👏👍 I can't afford a whole book on the He-177, but I must surf the 'net to find out more about it!
  19. Well, that's one of them! 🙂 Looks great! Tell me more. What scale? What kit? Your finish and subtle weathering look perfect to me! 👏👏
  20. You certainly overcame the challenges of the build very well. Good thing you got the Gold Leaf decals, as I don't think advertising restrictions applied at that time (unlike now). It certainly looks beautiful and I am enjoying the two builds in side-by-side comparison. 👏👏👏
  21. This is car modelling of the highest order. If I could get results like this ..........well, I'll just keep trying to get close. 👏👏👏👏😮
  22. That looks great! I attempted a free-hand mottle camouflage on a 1/72 Bf-110 (Airfix) and it was definitely a fail. Yours succeeded admirably! 👍👍
