  1. This is quite wrong, as the research is what drives kost mainly. And that is the foundation of the design process.
  2. We'll, it's mathematics and some knowledge. Not difficult, but takes more time, and preparation. Nothing everyone can and will do. But that's basically why I wait for my kit to arrive, and do not judge from the rather useless photos of the built kits. 🙂 This is of course not judging the work of the builder of the models!
  3. I would strongly suspect some thinning of the wing halfes (like in the good old days...) should help. And the wing tip shouldn't be an issue to fix as well. But so far I'm waiting for the plastic to arrive to see. The other suspected issues also remain on the 'to be verified' list so far. At least for me.
  4. I didn't say Academy nailed this area. And definitely wouldn't. But that should be for a different thread.
  5. As it might not be common (school) knowledge, performing such a comparison requires generating a true reference pane to even be able to start it. Something that did not happen here (amongst other things).
  6. GWH kits seem very 'susceptible' for this kind of marketing...
  7. This post should be a mandatory read for everyone before entering any modelling forum 😊
  8. Really hope this line of kits will be a success for Eduard. Great subject, great kits.
  9. Wow you are fast! I just received the kit, ordered right after availability. Great build and photos! I must admit I find it quite hard to decide which one to do 😉
  10. Looking good what Zvezda designed there. For me ModelSvit was faster. I'm covered.
  11. I'd be surprised if there are actually round head rivets used on the Su-25. But you never know. It's a flying tank after all 😉
  12. Main Deck Cargo Door. And, yes Polaris is essential an MRTT like the GAF ones. 10+23 is a Pax A313. As the MDCD contour is supplied as a decal I suppose the fuselage is the Pax one. But, as written above, I'll find out. There were MRTT with tail boom. Don't know how many right now. At least one was used by Airbus Spain afair. Could we change the Topic of the thread? We're well past the -200 🙂
  13. Well, Polaris is the Canadian designation. No need for this on the GAF boxing. And the 10+23 is no MRTT. No MDCD. Don't know if the moulds depict it, so one will see if it needs to be added for the MRTT or deleted for the 10+23. I guess I'll soon find out 🙂
  14. Same here. 162 parts shouldn't mean it's not overly simplified. 😊
  15. Well the lighting in the cockpit is very much screwed up... Hope ILM is better than that 😉 Come on Revell, release that thing now 😁
  16. Those photos of the finished model look very much CGI to me... But, well, soon the wait is over and the real thing is to be examined. And build.
  17. If FB is not an option: https://www.das-werk-models.com/products/brückenlegepanzer-m48-a2-avlb/
  18. Nice! They are currently giving some pe-order rebate on their website. As I really like their Spartan and Gee Bee I ordered this one as well 😊
  19. Well, and their website knows what they charge for their 1/48kits. I found that quite reasonable for what they offer. Looking forward to this one!
  20. Hm... there are various aspects of the Beau mould I don't like. But that's not relevant here. Looking forward to the SR-71. Thanks!
  21. I think both kits will find their audience, as I assume their approach to the subject will be quite different. I'll most likely end up buying both 😁
