  1. Looking at the fuselage and empennage, I see Albatross. That kit could make a great what-if, posing as a German WW1 bird..... Go man, go!!
  2. The Twin Pioneer is to die for! Oh, if only...........
  3. Given that Disney has embargoed sales of the new Bandai kits to the USA via HLJ and Hobbysearch, I've completely written off SW kits. This Revell stuff is rubbish, and I'd certainly be able to pick up second-hand FM kits cheaper than the "new" Revell reboxings. Typical of Disney to get greedy and bollux up a good thing. They can rot for all I care.....
  4. 16 markings options?? Great Caesar's ghost!!! Gimme, gimme, gimme!!
  5. Have you looked at N scale model railroad stuff? Not exactly 1/144, but shed-loads of options there.....
  6. Painting over chrome is a recipe for disappointment, as paint flaking off is inevitable. For stripping chrome, I use house-hold bleach. Works a treat normally; I've only had problems with Polar Lights sci-fi kits and their meter-thick plating.
  7. How did you do the foliage on the flakpanzer?? Looks great!
  8. Matchbox Mystere kit with some 'russianizing' parts and a Danish F-100 scheme. Debuted in the Whif chat about a year ago (gasp!) and is finally close to finished. :-D
  9. Great choice of markings!! How does one say "Crimson Skies" in Finnish??
  10. I'm keen to see this one go! (Furthermore, please, let's not bash Unicraft.... Igor is a very nice fellow, and where else can you get such conversion parts??)
  11. Wonderful!! The paint work is fabulous! I made one from the Matchbox kit - but one of my cats got into the display case and gave it a good chewing. Now I have a half-built Airfix replacement on the shelf-o-doom. Thanks for the inspiration to get going again!!
  12. Sooooo many Japanese projects - I'm running out of hinomaru decals. Uuurgh!
  13. Here's another thread on faking fabric surface via plasticard and ball-point: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/67757-making-wings-for-wwi-aircraft-advice-needed/
  14. Great stuff! Didn't know they flew Junkers....how cool is that?
  15. So here's the re-spray. I was happy with the big mottles, but I got stupid and tried misting on some green over the entirety of the upper surface. Welcome to the workshop of the Paint Pillock. What do you guys think?? Fix it by going back with the interstitial silver, or just get on with the decals?
  16. Applesauce! Didn't like the small splotches after looking at other 'B' scheme JNAF aircraft, so I dragged it back into the paint booth. Much happier with the ver2.0 paint scheme. Pics tomorrow, when it's dry and I can handle it. Homina-homina! And I have to glue the muzzle brake back on - barrel broke off in an unfortunate 'taxiing' accident. LOL
  17. So now there is a Tu-2 to go along with the B-17, Lanc, and He-177!! Goodness! http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10336165
  18. Declaring war on my shelf-queen projects......Banzai!
