  1. Wow, that is actually very impressive, especially for 1/35 scale, thanks. Andy. Edit. I couldn't stomach the price, especially when It doesn't match the scale of any of the other bat related vehicles I have, I purchased a 1/24(?) Jada diecast, may do a repaint on it but looks pretty good tbh.
  2. I'd love to see what the plastic looks like inside 'the batman' kit. Didn't know bandai did any of these, the moebius tumbler is excellent BTW. Cheers, Andy.
  3. Edging closer on this build, still a little bit of weathering to do on the belt, then a base... then pow, zip, wallop it'll be done really quite pleased with how this has turned out, as mentioned, I'm definitely not a figure painter, so for me this is grand 😀 Cheers, Andy.
  4. Something a little different, looking forward to what you do with it 😊 Andy
  5. Slight update. I've been finishing off the head and then trying to add a little variation to the body. It'll get toned down again with a black filter and some washes, I'm trying to avoid it looking like he's forgot to dust the suit off 😂 I've also painted the guard things on the gauntlets a grey colour as on the real one. Cheers, Andy
  6. Hello, Second post in the figure section, the first was a heller Homer Simpson. I've had this kit for years, it was given to me by someone, I don't think it's a genuine one judging by the crudeness of it? I just felt like doing a figure. It's not perfect l, but I'm quite happy so far. That yellowish tint isn't there in real life, a little more to do on this. I wasn't to impressed with the emblem, so I sketched up and 3d printed a couple of new options, it painted up well And finally, dananananaGHOSTBAT!! Cheers, Andy.
  7. Correction, I've bought one. Can confirm it looks excellent.
  8. It's excellent Airfix have decided to do these kits and this is quite impressive for the scale... but why would they not make them in the same scale as the rest of their range? Seems silly. Also very much a shame it isn't 1/24 as nobody else makes one do they? I'll be buying one anyway 🤪 Andy.
  9. Excellent job, come out really nice, almost the same as one I restored a few years back as part of a trio we did. Andy.
  10. Excellent job, nice to see it builds up great, although that is probably mostly down to your impeccable skills, now if only they'd re-release some more... like the marina Andy.
  11. Excellent job, looks like an MGB so I guess you nailed it 👍 my first car was a 77 rubber bumper GT in white, Brilliant car. Andy.
  12. As always, a pleasure to follow one of your builds, you always know they will turn out fabulous 👌 Andy
  13. That looks fantastic, what a wonderful paint job on a great sculpt. Andy.
  14. Thanks @Jeepboy and @stever219 seems a lot of people have great memories of these largely forgotten vauxhalls. Andy.
  15. That looks fantastic, I built this and the imprezza years ago... probably in a few mins, so I wouldn't worry about the colours. Flawless decals too 👌 Andy
  16. OK, it's sat on the corner of my desk for long enough having a think about what it's done! it's made a frank and sincere apology and we're ready to make a mends and have another go, primers on, I shall update when it's up to the stage just before it went boobies up. Cheers 🍻 Andy.
  17. Fantastic, are you doing all the computer design work yourself too? I really enjoy watching your large scale builds. Andy.
  18. Wow, as a proud owner of a real one, I'm a little disappointed at your 'Surprisingly photogenic' quote (hehehe) 😀 Absolutely amazing job on this, I've been quietly lurking and rooting for you on this one! Great colour choices and a flawless build. Cheers, Andy
  19. Thanks everyone, but alas, Disaster has struck! I left it a few days to dry, followed my usual process of de-nibbing, T-cut then polish. for some reason (new tin of T-cut that I haven't used before... maybe new formula?) this time, the T-cut reacted with the paint, making it go gooey and ruined it. I decided to do what I have never done before and strip the paint, oh well there were a couple of things that I wasn't quite happy with anyway! Here we go again! Cheers Andy.
  20. Hello, Small update, Humbrol Gloss Cote was chosen as I know it doesn't really affect the Alclad chrome, will need de-nibbing and polishing but I'm quite happy with the outcome so far! Grille and front valance just placed for looks. Next up rubber black around the windows and maybe some slight rust spots? Andy.
  21. Thanks chaps, I don't think I've actually ever seen a Viva HA on the road. Andy
  22. This is going to be excellent, our lack of modelling circumstances seem very similar... except mice and feathery ****s, I love the look you are going for, I did amm MG B a few years ago that I'd made to look like it was undergoing a rolling restoration, painted the sill and bits black like replacement panels then added weld lines and red oxide over them, didn't look as good as this though 😀 Andy.
  23. The camera makes them look better, but thanks 😊 Thanks @stevehnz nothing to be envious about, it's not as glamorous as it seems, it's still getting covered in rust, cuts, grinding sparks and burns! Just at the end of it a lovely looking thing emerges, but to do it correctly it's yeeeeeears of practice and patience as it's very time consuming, the DB4 body for example was made free hand, templating the original knackered skins and was around 1000hrs just for the outer skin, then there was all the other bits like trims, mechanical fabrications etc! Cheers, Andy.
