  1. Another Beetle built, I shall follow too!
  2. Cheers chaps, there won't be updates for this forba couple of weeks as I'm on my honeymoon 😀 currently on the fjords 🛳
  3. I'm sure they are probably different on the real cars, ferraris build standards are not as great as you'd think. We'll just say the embroider was feeling particularly patriotic of their company that day 🤫 Looking absolutely incredible btw.
  4. Great looking build, miles better than the one I did as a kid 🤣 I love that you kept the original wheels, they really suit the chunky classic Mercedes style 😀
  5. On my XJS the pipes ran through the IRS, so bleeding the rear brake callipers got veeeeery toasty.
  6. Oh my, that is stunning 😍
  7. This looks incredible 👌 didn't know this kit existed. Looking forward to the next update 😀
  8. My only criticism is that you are making the rest of us look bad 🤣
  9. Simply gorgeous, we really could be looking at the real deal 🧐 panel lines look INCREDIBLY neat to me.
  10. Those are cut from leftover Tamiya PVC(?) Tube, the red is some jewellery flexible rubber stuff.
  11. Update #2.5 Last photo of the weekend, I've wired up the distributor somewhat, no king lead as my eyes were knackered enough! Cheers 🍻
  12. Update #2 As I mentioned earlier, I'm not going mad with detailing with this one, just a clean ootb build, or I'll never finish it. I have blacked up loads of bits with Tamiya LP-60 and assembled most of the chassis and engine. And said engine. As we all know, macro is an unforgiving mistress, but I assure you to the naked eyeball it is quite nice, just the distributor to fit that's still drying as i only had enamel in a close enough hue Humbrol Matt 60. I may add some HT leads that head nowhere 😉 silvers are Tamiya LP-20, Vallejo metal color Aluminio and a pilot chrome pen, given a light burnt umber oil wash, blacks are as above and also revell aqua matt black. Cheers.
  13. I like it, it's funky! The flames are particularly well painted, at first glance I thought you had lit them 🧐
  14. Ooh That's so neat and tidy! Colour combo is a definite win 🏆
  15. I built the baby polar lights one quite a few years ago... maybe 10 years? It was terrible, but that's the way I like em! These pics are newer, and hence covered in a little downy fluff. Like you say, that batmobile is epic, but at £1500, that's real car territory 🤯
  16. This is a 1968 UK car. The layout is the same... but the dash top is different to the kit, I think there were probably many different dashes over the years with subtle changes. The kit is actually pretty faithfull overall, I'm quite impressed.
  17. Cheers 🍻 Update #1 The dash, a strange place to start I know, but it was already yellow so was a quick job... er, no! First attempt failed when I put a wash in the recessed areas and the yellow paint pickled, must have not fully cured, stripped the paint, now back to this. Just needs a bit of UV resin for the glass. The wrong speedo, as the MPH one wouldn't sit right in the recess and was ruined by over handling, annoyingly the radio decal is smaller than the moulded detail... why? Cheers 🍻
  18. According to Google translate its Stretchlimousine 🤷‍♂️
  19. The colour Rover Inca yellow over red plastic primer, all halfords, they just spray great, also no fluff or hair in this paint job, a first for me 🤣 Good one 😁
