  1. The Klipfontain is beautiful. However... the calm sea would have gone better with it, while the rough sea with the HMS Norfolk. It would make more sense to me. And since you did the sea too, you had the choice. The sea is also very, very well done. Congratulations!
  2. Hello guys, after 20 years away from the hobby, this is my fourth model. I am sorry but the first three were a total disaster because of putty misuse, uneven door and windshield assembly etc. As for this model, even though the Tirpitz never had the swastika that size, it came engraved in the plastic. The camouflage of the ship may not correspond to any of the real ones but that's because of my limited painting skills and just the size of the model. If it is rare to see a ship model this size, here's a link to the collection: here. Enjoy!
  3. My first impression was WOW. The streaks from the engine are superb! I once weathered a SuperCobra and regretted having weathered the canopy. I'll take your example and leave the glass nice and clean from now on.
  4. What a dillemma. I bought the Special Hobby one for the Armada camo without knowing about the detail with the shape of the fuselage. Upon learning about it, though, I immediately proceeded to scrape and sand the strong angles in hope that I wouldn't go through the plastic. Thankfully, Special Hobby does it with some think plastic. I don't think I will be able to get to the shape of the first picture without going through the plastic but as the second picture shows, I might not need to worry too much. Was there a guy in one of these forums who was a Cobra pilot? Maybe he could tell us if later Cobra versions were a little more plump over there -perhaps due to a more powerful engine? PS: On the first picture, the tail rotor appears on the left. Correct me if I'm wrong but that corresponds to the very early versions of the Cobra, hence smaller engine and narrower fuselage, right? Images are referential only. No copyright breach intended. They are not mine.
  5. Congrats! Beautiful model. I see you used three steps for the white. Are those arcrilic or enamels? Did you do anything similar for the other colors? Also, did you use brush or airbrush? I ask because I want to improve my painting skills...
