  1. Yes Dr Forrest Gump would call it "Stupid is as Stupid does" while Sigmund Freud would probably call it "Obsessive Compulsive Purchasing".. That was the 1980 Cattledog but I haven't found the earlier Cattledog I have somewhere so here are some earlier boxings jumbled up :
  2. Pretty good. Here is an insight into how pathetic my Life is at the moment - my "References" and the extent of my "Modelling" : Reference : Modelling : Reference : Modelling : Reference : Modelling : Reference : Modelling :
  3. My mobile isn't communicating with my Laptop for some reason so if you want a photo I'll have to MMS it to you and either you can upload it or e-mail it to me an I'll upload it. (There will actually be a couple of photos as they won't all fit into one photo.)
  4. You do now and who needs overseas orders when the local Robs Model Emporium has them (everything?) in stock!
  5. Hopefully. To fit in with the “Classic” Title (and seeing I can inly do “basic” modelling down here) it will most likely be one of the 1:50 Heller kits. And it should be out if the box but of course with my tendency to get side tracked and modify things it’ll probably be turned into something else! Graeme arrived Home just on 2200 after leaving at 0700. Not a bad effort for an old bloke! He even managed to pick up a cheap (way cheaper than in Brisbane) Italeri MB 326 in Emerald on one of his breaks from driving. He’s even keen to back up and drive up to Innisfail tomorrow! Fondling plastic is OK at least it won’t land you in jail like other types of fondling will!
  6. And you know someone who has got more than one ...
  7. Just a quick update on the Airfix Magazine article. I took photos of the pages with the aim of downloading them onto the laptop and then uploading them to Flikr so they can be viewed here but the stupid iphone is not communicating with the laptop for some unknown reason. I’ll keep trying.
  8. If the Ceres kit is out by the time this starts count me in.
  9. Better still some lesser known Australians (and former Kiwis) have decided to join the GB in positions 36 to 41 allowing me to join at 42 : 36. Fred Bradman. 1:12 Batman figure. 37. Saul Hogan. 1:1200 Sydney Harbour Bridge. 38. Neville Norman. 1:24 Jaws Diorame. 39. Narelle Melba. 1:144 A380. 40. Dusty Crowe. 1:20 Phar Lap 41. Dick Kyrious. 1:35 “Joker” in Jail Diorama. 42. Rob S. Yet to be specified.
  10. Must have missed this kit (unless it wasn’t readily available in Australia?). Will be watching your build with interest.
  11. If it gets to 41 I’ll go in to bat at 42 what with the meaning of Life, the Universe, and all things ANZAC (and not to mention trying to do something in the other GBs that I said I’d like to join in!).
  12. I thought that you might not have known of that kit. I’d almost forgotten about it myself and had to go looking for it on Scalemates. I found the Airfix Magazine and took photos of the Article. I was right and wrong. Right in that it was by Zaloga and that the Airfix kit was used but wrong about the plans as for some reason they are in 1:48 and not 1:76. I’ll upload the photos next time I am on the laptop.
  13. This was the Dragon kit I was referring to : https://www.scalemates.com/kits/dragon-6561-ersatz-m10--120567#
  14. That’s OK we’ve all got other things to do than sit reading BM (as much fun as it is though!). I think from memory the article (by Steve Zaloga if I recall correctly) is for the Airfix kit. Stupidly I was Home this afternoon but was so busy painting the fence and doing other chores I forgot to have a look. Hopefully I’ll get the chance again when I go back tomorrow. If you go to 1:35 have you got the Dragon kit and if so is it any good?
  15. I forgot to ask what scale you are doing this in? I haven’t looked through my Airfix Magazines yet but looking through http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/mags/contents/airfix-magazine-1970s-contents-listing.htm It looks like the Article is in the July 1977 issue.
  16. There was an article on modelling them in Airfix Magazine in the mid seventies I think it was. I can have a look for it if you think it will be of any help.
  17. Well seeing the Museum in Cairns is getting a Panther : https://www.ausarmour.com/museum/coming-soon/ it would be remiss of me not to dig a Panther out of the “Stash” and join in the fun. If time allows it will be 1:35 (do have the 1:25 Tamiya kits but one of them would take way too ling to build) of some description (most likely Dragon) but if time limited it will be 1:76 (Airfix, Matchbox, Nitto, etc) or 1:72 (Esci, Hasegawa, Dragon, Revell etc).
  18. Must have missed this one as I’m not on the list and what better reason to be added to the list at number 87 as an unlucky nod to Australian Cricket. Seeing it’s a “Classic” GB it’ll have to be something pre mainstream Heller availability in Australia so thinking one of the early 1:50 scale kits which I have a few of even though I do not model 1:48.
  19. Thanks Stix. I hope I’ll have the time too and be even more greedy with time if I could do both! Late Edit : Just noticed I’m Number 33 so it’ll have to be the SiG33!
  20. Some information here : tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/nazi_germany/Sturmgeschutz-III.php/amp/
  21. Wow how time flies! Seven months later. Very few days at home and so no further progress on this. Hopefully the next seven months will be better!
  22. Fantastic work as usual and I’m certain that with the detail you have put into this build that you statically and dynamically balanced those fans before installing them!
  23. Sounds like you are warming up for a song there Ray? The French National Anthem perhaps?
