    What I really like is that rather than trying to fill the join in the body capsule, you made a feature of it with the weathering; excellent - would never have thought of that!

    Just cracked and priced one up. Thing is I would need to buy 2 so I could build one in original livery. This is going to get expensive! i hold you responsible blackbrazen for doing such a cracking job of yours!

    Some of the humour is so subtle too, like when they are leaving space dock and the crew all lean one way and the captain the other - class!

    Buzz Aldrin always asserts that Armstrong was the best pilot he has ever known, admitting that he was much better than he (Aldrin) was. I’m looking forward to this, never saw the moon landing live as I was only 4 months old, but I have always tried to follow what happened to all the Gemini and Apollo guys as they were just incredible people.

    Nice. Really nice! I have one of these in the stash but I’m working on something else at the moment. I like the the idea of replacing the hydraulic actuators - not thought of that!

    It’s still looking good and to be honest, your repaint did look better to me but I have seen Tolga doing amazing things with reverse washing so it can look incredible; not sure I’m ready to try it just yet. Oh yes, I’m also about 6 months off 50 (or as I like to call it - nearly 45) I’m still up with the tech but struggle with the painting so I suppose I can’t have it all ways. I miss my 48k speccy... but the load time for jet-pack... I don’t miss that, along with the cover art in the cassette which was apparently from a version of the game that I had not bought

    Well, I have a vested interest, there is one stat in my stash (along with iron man) ready for me to try and I’m wondering about lighting - yours has made me consider it for both!

    You may just get really lucky. Brazing rod might be a better bet as it is a bit more bendy?

    I think brass rod is the way, but you are going to have a hell of a time aligning it as you say... you could make the top hole larger and shim it for position if you don’t hit it right the first time...

    Cheers; progress is a little slow because work keeps getting in the way. This is the first time I’ve ever worked with something 3D printed, but the price was just too good to miss
