  1. Absolutely outstanding - and more thanks for explaining how you project the 3D model onto a plane. Extracted faces and then ‘nesting’ for cutting!
  2. That looks superb - thanks again for those links you posted; got sketchup loaded onto my MBPro and it all works. Loving this!
  3. That base looks fabulous how did you manage that?
  4. That was a LOT of glue! What the hell had the previous owner been thinking!
  5. Thanks for this, I’ll dig the MacBook out and download it. Many thanks @monsterpartyhat
  6. Ooh cheers - I’ll have a look for the 2017 version! I’ve used 3D modelling software in the past (Catia v4) but I’d never heard of sketchup until I saw you using it. I’ll find a link today! quick question though; sketchup Make or Pro?
  7. Cricut (makes note of that name for future purchase and sends mental reminder to download sketchup for Mac) really impressed with this. I’m very intrigued to see what you are going to model next!
  8. Blimey, I owned the R2 back in the day and vividly remember messing up the centre leg mechanism, put it together correctly, misread the instructions and thought I’d made a mistake, then stripped it apart whilst the glue was still wet and rebuilt it upside down - the middle leg used to lock in the up position and it would not stand on 3 legs properly next to the 3po!
  9. I’m properly impressed with this. I would definitely buy one if you offered it for sale!
  10. Loved watching this thread from day 1. The results are superb
  11. Ordered this one from Japan for a very good price back in early October but it literally landed on my doormat today I’ve really got to sort myself some time to start to build something soon!
  12. It's just one of the standard options for an outside loo - single or double 'holer', choice of aperture shape in door (bunch of grapes, crescent moon etc) as for the title - you are welcome... just keep building!
  13. So I need to know; is there a half moon cutout on that door?
  14. Well the Latin for Copper is aeris AMS the Latin for Brass is orichalcum. Must be a good starting point there... A3-R15
  15. No I love the copper colour, chrome and red would still fit the ‘vibe’ but as it is he looks unpainted or careworn. Names?
  16. Like doesn’t come close, that looks superb, you have done a cracking job there. I especially like the debris trail what technique did you use to build the sand up around the cockpit where it nose dived in?
