  1. Where would our models be without Lego greeblies. This is looking very good
  2. I’m with Andy on this, the stubby looks better
  3. absolutamente impresionante. Es perfecto y me encanta la nueva placa.
  4. Hi Houston, thanks for asking; It’s slow progress, I’ve got a few good coats of primer on and I need to start sanding - just not managing to get any time in the workshop to do anything at the moment. I also want to add some weight so I’m thinking of what to use (probably hot glue a load of pennies together and seal them in). As soon as I make any kind of progress I’ll post. Oh yeah, high build primer and airbrush spray booths are not good friends... so I guess I need a new filter now too!
  5. You have done a cracking job there, these look simple and I know from experience that they are anything but. very nicely done.
  6. Suggestions yes - let the red breathe first. As for the kit, looking at a few of the other builds do not be surprised to have to spend a bit of time smoothing seams on the top of the front fuse. The remake is is actually VERY good and this is from someone who grew up watching the original battle star galactica when it was first on. Worth a try. Your have a choice of either museum piece or HEAVILY weathered for the MkII Viper; you saw both in the series.
  7. Houston is right Professor, it might start with a little simple kit (and yes there is one in the stash), but before long you will cave in and get a Bandai Star Wars kit; after that there is just no going back... i watch your thread with interest - welcome to the sci-fi ‘bit’!
  8. Hi there, unfortunately work is is getting in the way of garage time so everything has been on hold for far too long. I’m still hunting for bits for talkie as I want to build both versions. It’s likely to be a long wait though; I’ve not even decalled R2 yet!
  9. I had both of these kits back in the day, I never noticed back then how big 3PO’s head was and how evil an expression he had. Both of these look spot on, a very nice restoration/build.
  10. That is an outstanding piece of trivia - I’ll be remembering that one!
  11. Well we are all rooting for her on here, if this does not win then the competition must be fierce!
  12. I’ve really enjoyed watching this one come together; I’m heading over the RFI right now!
  13. Correction fluid? Never heard of that one before (adds bottle to shopping list)
  14. Got to agree with you here Werner, I’ve learnt so much from everyone on the forum.
  15. This is the first time I’ve seen any of these little fellas painted - they look really good. I’m really struggling not to buy a couple myself now!
  16. So big question - have you flown it around your apartment yet making the appropriate noises?
  17. Moist and squishy, sounds like my attempt at cooking sushi rice! it’s all looking rather good, looking forward to seeing the egg over that new section
  18. If it is any help, the Vallejo ultramarine blue you mention seems to be an exact match for the blue plastic used in the Bandai kits of R2: The blue on the rectangular panel on the side and the octagon is the Vallejo, the Other blue in the picture is all kit plastic. Please excuse the rather naff attempt at weathering I was starting there - I’ve learned a lot since then!
