Beautiful work.
Sorry for the necropost, but any chance you have either a link or the name of the ball joints you used? Thanks in advance.
First place I’d look is Bricklink

I don’t know anything about the source material for these, but every time I see one of these kits they look amazing. I had a alum 168 Camel in my Amazon wish list for ages; then the price went mental!
you’ve done a cracking g job with these!

Oh enjoying this one so far👍

One of these is definitely going on my wish list. Had a die cast one as a kid that I loved to bits and took a serious hammering, my mate had one that winched down containers using a magnetic grapple - man I was jealous!
hopefully you will have a build thread that I can follow!

Another from the same order has arrived but this one from a different vendor
also different here is the model has been stripped from the sprues and assembled, the original owner also did a little questionable dry brushing. I’ll be stripping this one back down to component parts, cleaning and painting. Just got a sand trooper to come now and I have all the ones I’m wanting (for now in all likelihood). I just need to retire so that I can actually spend time building anything😁

My son bought me one of these for Father's Day this year.
His was on backorder for over a year & he paid the standard price, whatever is was at the time.
I did some research on what the paint color might be & i found Halfords do camo colors in a 300ml can & im thinking the green in that selection could suffice.
Nice one, the colour used in Aliens was actually “Vintage Brown Bess” by floqil - Archive X paints carry that colour

A friend ordered this for me as he lives in the U.S. and they're not available in Canada. He was up visiting for a couple days and brought it up with him.
Sure the colours aren't screen accurate but that's probably to keep any kids safe. I'm trying to decide if I want to paint it or not. It'll go nicely with my Blade Runner blaster waterguns.

Well if you want screen accurate paint, archive-x have ‘Vintage Brown Bess’ which is what was used on the production - they were actually brown and not grey as they sometimes appear
I’m very jealous!

Yeah, mine arrived today and the likeness of Ripley is a bit off, she is not going in mine though, I’m going to build an empty one

It is yes, only had a cursory look at the sprues but they look clean. It wasn’t cheap but I have waited a loooong time to find one and eventually saw this on Japanese Amazon for a decent price (ish)

Not really from the post man today, but I also finally finished putting together my Hobbyzone modular sets and organising them
this was just in time to fit in the last of my archive x paints - finally got the complete set of all 42. The tilting storage drawers for paints are spot on, only able to store 9 per drawer of the archive x, but there is space above for citadel or tamiya, you can get 20 Vallejo per drawer though.
