  1. Thanks for the kudos guys, I appreciate it. @ Mario- funny you mention an AH-1 to go with the Huey and the Loach. I just ordered the new Special Hobby AH-1G and will start it the second the UPS guy delivers it. \ Cheers, Albert
  2. Thought I heard a rumblin'/Calling to my name/Two hundred million guns are loaded/Satan cries "take aim"/Better run through the jungle... Hey Gang- This is my recently completed 1/72 Italeri UH-1B Huey Gunship, in the markings of the 120th AHC Razorbacks, circa Vietnam. Made a bunch of enhancements and additions to the kit. Huey gunships are very busy in the cargo/cockpit area, so the bulk of the work was done in those two spots (most of which can be seen in this Facebook photo album- https://www.facebook.com/Albymoore/media_set?set=a.10201484012640568.1073741838.1183606216&type=3# ). I also did some exterior work where needed. The Razorback decals were custom made by Joseph Osborn of Fireball Modelworks, while the rest of the markings were sourced from various US Army Huey decal sheets. All comments and critiques welcomed, and thanks for looking!
  3. What a fantastic job you did whipping that kit into submission. The paintwork is especially well done! Cheers, Albert
  4. And a fine looking Mystere it is so far, Jonners. I have this kit in my stash, so I'm well aware with what you started with. I've been following your build up and am really impressed with the work you have put into it to this point. Cheers, Albert
  5. Sharp looking MiG, Mike! The metal finish look terrific. I especially like the third photo.
  6. Terrific looking Lynx, Mish! Nice to also put a face with a name (now I recognize you from the various Facebook modeling pages).
  7. Thanks, Ilan and Julien. I used SnJ for the bright metal areas on the fuselage, and Metalizers for the exhaust nozzles (Anadonic Dark Gray for the nozzle rings and Titanium for the nozzles and actuators). Cheers, Albert
  8. I present to you my 1/72 F-15C Eagle of the 65th Aggressor Squadron, USAF, in the sand/brown scheme. The base kit is Hasegawa's excellent F-15 kit, to which an Eduard Zoom photo-etch set was added. Other details include an Aires ACES II ejection seat, 1/72 Paragon resin ELTA 8222 ECM Pod and mount, ACMI pod from a Hasegawa Weapons Set (I replaced the probe portion with brass rod), and an AIM9-X from an F-18F Super Hornet kit. Also, the outer flaps were removed and repositioned and the intakes boxed in completely. Model Master enamels were used for the finish (FS20400/FS30140), and Afterburner Decals for the markings. As a final touch, brass rod was sharpened to a nice point and used to make the AoA probes. Weathering was kept to minimum as this represents a freshly paint machine. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Albert
  9. Thanks, Rick and Rodders! Rick- Shades of Comanche is what came to mind when I was building this, especially from the front. Cheers, Albert
  10. Looking for something rather quick to build to round out 2013, I threw this together over the course of eight hours, including the base. It's Dragon's 1/144th "Stealth Helicopter", based on the type that was supposedly used in the raid that took out Osama Bin Laden. Thanks for looking! Cheers, Albert
  11. Fantastic MiG-21, especially the paint/weathering! I always look forward to seeing your work. Cheers, Albert
  12. Hi Glenn- thanks for the kind words. The landing gear seem to be holding up well and can actually take a fair amount of punishment. My main concern was breaking one of the struts while handing the model during painting. decaling, and final construction due to the fact that Kinetic has you add them during the main fuselage assembly (no way to add the MLG struts in place once that center piece that goes over the MLG divider is glued into place- trust me on that one. In other words; RTFM and follow it in this case ) Cheers, Albert
  13. Hi Mark- Thanks for the kudos. The Sufa is the only Kinetic kit of the bunch. The rest are all Revell of Germany kits. Thanks again! Cheers, Albert
  14. Thank you all for your kind comments! Here are a couple of hastily done family portraits of the brood- Thanks again, all! Cheers, Albert
  15. Here is the latest addition to my fleet of small scale F-16 builds, a 1/72 Kinetic F-16I Sufa, with Isradecal decals (except the bat tail art- it was from the kit sheet and matched Model Master's FS30219 Dark Tan perfectly). The Python AAMs on the lower missile rails were scratch built because the kit missiles looked rather crappy. The belly tank is from my spares box. Model Master and Humbrol paints were used to paint the model, and Testors new CreateFX washes were used to accentuate the panel lines. Thanks for looking! Cheers, Albert
  16. Thank you for all of your kind words on my Fulcrum, glad ya'll like it! Cheers, Alby
  17. Thanks for all the kind comments on my MiG, I greatly appreciate it! Cheers, Alby
  18. This is my just completed 1/72 Testors MiG-29 Fulcrum in Cuban markings. It was built for a Cold War themed group build on Facebook. The only aftermarket item I used aside from the decals was a Neomega resin seat. The finish is Model Masters enamels and metalizers. The decals came from Hi-Decal. In progress photos (not a lot, really) can be found here- MiG build on Facebook Thanks for looking, all comments/critiques welcomed as always. Cheers, Alby
  19. Hi gang- Here are a few photos of my 1/24 Revell 2008 Audi R8. The finish is Dupli-Color Maui Blue Metallic, with gloss aluminum side blades, mirrors, and hatchback vents. More here; http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v286/albymoore/2008%20Audi%20R8/ Thanks for looking, all comments/critiques welcomed! Cheers, Albert
  20. Brilliant work, Vitor, and nice to see the gunship version built up too! The finish looks especially well done. Having built the transport version myself, I know what a joy it was working on this kit (I need to get the gunship now myself. ). Again, fantastic work my friend! Cheers, Alby
  21. Some old school modeling skill on display here. Excellent job on your Monogram Mustang! Cheers, Alby
