Best looking version of K-2SO I've seen yet. Looking forward to seeing it all come together! Cheers, Albert

Hello All, This is Trumpeter's 1/72 M113 'ACAV' with Black Dog resin stowage accessories and ammo crates. The rolled up fencing on the front is wire forming mesh w/ masking tape straps, and the antennas are stretched sprue. The finish is Model Master Olive Drab, weathering completed using pastels, drybrushing, Tamiya weathering pigments. The base is made from a section of pre-made model railroad groundwork on a picture frame. Thank for looking! Cheers, Albert

Thank you all for the kind comments. It was a fun model to build, and even more fun to paint. Also, it is the first model I've painted with an Iwata Eclipse, vs the Paasche VL I had been using for many years. Suffice it to say, the Paasche is now a back-up airbrush. Cheers, Albert

Hi All, Here is my recently completed Airfix MiG-15, dimensional and shape errors and all. It was painted with Tamiya paints (AS-12 Bare Metal underneath the XF-59 Desert Yellow, XF-61 Dark Green, and X-18 Semi-gloss Black camouflage scheme). Final finish is a mix of Vallejo Matte and Satin varnish. Thanks for looking! Cheers, Albert

Revell AT-ACT Imperial Walker
albymoore replied to albymoore's topic in Ready for Inspection - SF & RealSpace
Hi Ray, Thanks for the kudos! That center section is actually blank OOB. The 3D milled section is a drop fit add-on and ready to use right from the package. I only roughed up the gluing surface so the epoxy would have something to latch onto- -
Hi All, Here is my take on the Revell AT-ACT from Rogue One. It was repainted with Model Master Neutral Gray and Vallejo Orange Rust, then weathered using pastels and a panel wash (as well Tamiya pigment powders). The center section between the front legs is a 3D milled piece (from a member of the Facebook Starship Modeler page). Thanks for looking! Cheers, Albert

Hi All, This is part 2 of my P-51D Mustang build off, this time it's Hasegawa's P-51D in 1/72. This also carries the markings for the Israeli Air Force, 101 "First Fighters" Squadron, post 1948 War of Independence (it went into service during the latter phase of the war and originally carried a/c number D-191). The model was built OOB as a comparison to the 1/72 Tamiya kit, which be found here; http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234996743-aw-man-not-another-p-51d-mustang/ Hasegawa's kit lacks the finesse of the Tamiya's P-51D, but still builds into great looking model. The finish is Tamiya AS-12 Bare Metal Silver, with Model Master Metalizers for the darker panels, and Vallejo acrylics for the anti-glare panel and satin clear coat. The decals are from Sky's "IAF First Fighter" decal set. Thanks for looking! Cheers, Albert

Aw man, not another P-51D Mustang...

Thanks for the kind comments, gang. I've always had a fascination with mainstream aircraft in odd clothing , so to speak. I also want to build one of those Latin America Mustangs such as this- -

Sharp looking Snake! Gotta love an AH-1 with a shark mouth on it. I've got the S/H version and thought about building as one of the sister ships to this one. Cheers, Albert -
Aw man, not another P-51D Mustang...

Thanks for the kudos, gang. It was nice building something a little out of my normal era of modeling (modern jets and helicopters), plus something different in regards to markings and paint scheme on a popular subject. I have another Israeli Mustang on my bench, though this one will be in the normal metal finish. Cheers, Albert -
Hi All, This is my 1/72 Tamiya F-51D Mustang built as an Israeli Air Force P-51D circa 1956's Operation 'Kadesh' (aka the Suez Crisis). This was built OOB, and was painted with Vallejo and Model Master paints. The markings are from Sky Decals 'IAF First Fighters' set. The weathering was done with a combination of pastels and Testors CreateFX panel washes. Thanks for looking!

Thank you for the kudos guys, I appreciate it! Cheers, Albert -
Hello everyone- This is my buildup of the recently issued Kovozávody Prostejov (KP) Avia S-199 'Messer' in 1/72 scale. The only extras that was added to the kit was an AML resin ordnance rack. The finish is Revell 362 enamel (RAL 6013), and the markings are from Sky's Decals and depict D.117, which feature the name 'Nahama' in the port fuselage Star of David roundel.

Hi Gang- This is the 1/2500 K't'inga Class Battle Cruiser from Round 2/AMT's 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture' Cadet Series kit. It is a part of a three-ship set that includes the USS Reliant and refit USS Enterprise. The paint scheme is inspired by the type on the Bird-Of-Prey class ships so it isn't accurate to any of K't'inga class ships in the movies. Main hull color is Testors OD Green, and the 'feathers' were painted with Testors Rust. The details were brought out with Testors Create-FX Dark Gray wash. I've really taken a liking to these Cadet Series starship models as they are a nice, quick detour from the more involved projects on my desk. Thanks for looking! And how it scales out with the more "modern" Sovereign Class USS Enterprise-E;

Hi Gang- This is AMT's 1/2500 U.S.S. Enterprise-E from their Cadet Series line of snap-together kits. Replicating the complex paint scheme was easy as it only required the light gray base coat, everything else is all decal work. The decals are a mix of kit decals and aftermarket decals (from Absolute Models). The planetary display base was made from half of a clear sphere. Acrylic craft paint was swirled into the whole sphere and then gravity blended the colors together over the course of a few hours. All in all a very fun project. Thanks for looking!
