Very well done, I built this kit a couple of years ago I found the stance a bit strange -
DC3/C47 Karhumäki Italeri1/72
Ruskin Air Services replied to kalle's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Turned out really well, I will say that the italieri kit is the best of rest. Being a bit of a Dakota freak I've built all of the 1/72 offerings - there on here somewhere, I will say the new airfix kit is very good -
Some of the bombaimers took to marking the perspex dome their compartments with a Chinagraph pencil or a borrowed lipstick, some also used lengths of string across the aperture.

Movie Stars in 1/48
Ruskin Air Services replied to Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
According to my battle of Britain the movie book MH434 12 different spitfires with 9 different serials. Codes: AI-A, AI-D, AI-E, AI-G, AI-H, AI-K, BO-G, CD-F, CD-H, CD-M, DO-N, EI-H Serials: N3310, N3312, N3313, N3314, N3315, N3316, N3317, N3319, N3321 the problem also is that some of the other spitfires used some of the the same codes and serials. The only way to recognise MH434 is the 4 blade prop, 6 tubular exhaust stubs, 4 aperture wheels and a small dipole aerial under the rear fuselage, hope this helps. Mark -

I do have the book "the making the battle of Britain". I'll have to dig it out as it does have a lot information about the individual planes used in the movie -

While deciding that a second Lancaster will need to be built I started the runway control van. So an Internet search I found two candidates one a radio truck from wee vehicles and an actual control van from milicast. When they arrived the radio truck was put to one side for a future project, so I made a start on the milicast model. Well unfortunately Mine had been in a little bit of an accident on it's way from Scotland, shame really as its a nice kit made from a polyurethane resin and the basics are obviously taken from the old Airfix Austin fire truck: Oops there were a few more damaged parts as well as this, so I got busy and scratch built a new body and used the milicast interior: Milicast cab, suspension and wheels on an Airfix chassis: Trail fitting: Model on boys and girls -
