  1. Lovely work on the floor and control column, only let down is not enough use of 'cockpit green'....lol
  2. Thanks for rhe feedback guys, just realised I should have painted the tail in the same "sky" colour....doh !, will try and get that done tomorrow before starting the other colours.
  3. Thanks for that, I'm enjoying the build so far but nervous of final assembly !
  4. Hi guys, Started painting earlier today, first lesson 1/32 scale takes ALOT of paint.....lol, never used so much !. Decided to put some light coats on to begin with and build them up slowly Wing at top of this photo has had 1 coat, the one at the bottom just has the shadow lines on it I coat on everything in this shot. Two coats on in thos shot, still needs some more..... Three coats on now....and I like the look at this point can still see some of the dark details underneath and I'm thinking of maybe trying some oil effects to add highlights and variation ? Really pleased with the fuselage for a first attempt going to leave this a day to dry then see how it looks, if I'm still happy I'll mask up and start the camoflage on the tops of the wings and fuselage... TaTa for now Alan
  5. Hi, I did consider building with the wings folded, but can't zoom the plane around the work bench making machine gun noises at the cat then can I....lol Link below to my build if you'd like to have a look šŸ˜€

  8. Latest update guys, managed to get the metal strips of the wings, brute force is a wonderful thing...lol And a few photo's here of the interior for KelT, sorry they are not great but might give you an idea ? Cheers for now Alan
  9. Crikey, getting those two wings on correctly looks a nightmare but you look to be making a great job of it ! I'm dreading trying to get four wings on the Swordfish I'm building at the moment, think I'm going to need at least 4 arms if not more...lol Alan
  10. Cool, will give that a try tomorrow when thw paints dry
  11. Got some paint on tonight Painted over the pesky metal strips on the lower wings....grrrrrr....don't know if I should leave well alone or try and take them off ???
  12. Thanks for that I've superglued them on ! Is there any way to unglue superglue without damaging the plastic ?
  13. I'm building the mk1 version of this kit at the moment and to be honest whe the fuselage is closed up you can hardly see the floor, not sure you'd see much more of it even with the clear fuselage ? Alan PS... The photo etch is really tough to cut !
  14. Hi guys, Managed to get a little more done tonight, some pieces of what seems to be the toughest photo etch in the world were added and the lamps in the wings got masked, hopefully not long now till I get some paint on ! Alan
  15. That looks fantastic, love the weathering effect šŸ‘ Alan
  16. Good save... Phew, glad I'm not the only one who throws bits away than have to go bin hunting .... Alan
  17. Amazing !, I struggle sometimes with bits on the 1/32 Swordfish I'm building, so cannot imagine how you work at that scale..... Alan
  18. Greetings chaps, First attempt at a wingy thing for many years and first attempt at a work in progress so forgive me any mistakes. First one being I've already done quite abit of the build before I've plucked up courage to post ! Interior and engine are assembled, painted and fitted, body is sealed and any gaps sealed, thought I'd give it a blast of primer next and see how it looks ?. Not sure if I should attach the supports or photo etch struts to the wings before painting ? Need to mask the lights off on the wings too before I prime the wings ! Really enjoying the build so far, and the kit does not seem to be fighting me too much, just nervous of starting painting it !, let alone weathering it....gulp ! Any hints tips or suggestions greatly received ! Thanks, Alan
  19. Hi guys sorry to be a pain just checking if I've got the hang of Flickr ?
