  1. I'll admit it , I looked at this because I thought a new kit had come out! But it's far, far better than that. Well done on an excellent conversion using old fashioned skills to produce a lovely model and even then of a colour scheme new to me at least. The Kenneth Munson book brings back memories too and of more I don't seem to have made--yet. Happy modelling Andrew
  2. Hi Julian, Sitting very prettily . Think I may have to look for one. Best of luck with the build. Regards Andy
  3. Hello, Nice subject , I'll sit in on this if I may got a feeling there's something like this lurking in my man cave . Cheers Andrew
  4. Nicely built Norseman and an out of the norm choice of decal. PNG had, and still has, an intriguing variety of bush plane operations.
  5. Pulling up a chair, I've a kit tucked away somewhere and always loved the Discount from the days I cycled to Dyce to see them in BEA colours in the 60's to flying in them in the 80's with BAF. Same aircraft on the same route .
  6. I'm in too, what's not to love about a Dragonly . Cheers Andy
  7. If you hunt around you'll find there is a 1/72 set of these wonderful decals - I left one on the shelf at Hanants! 😁 Enjoying these builds even though I found them late on and hope to dig mine out of the stash. Andy
  8. I' love another , improved, Beagle 206 but I'd also like a civil version although with more people preferring military subjects I can quite understand the basset route. Again a civil pup would be nice . Regards Andy

Andy
  10. Congratulations on a well made model of what should have been a ground breaking aircraft. Another book I can recommend is Air Britains "Miles Aircraft - The Post War Years. A little expensive perhaps but then as well as the M52 it details other Mils projects. Cheers Andy
  11. Nice seaplane, well presented and the diorama sets it off well --inspiring! Cheers Andy
  12. Great build Aaron, you've one justice to the civil Wessex.
  13. This is looking good indeed I'm going to have to shake the dust off mine sometime. Good luck and more importantly have fun! Andy
  14. Nice work so far looking forward to your work on the Britannia. I've got one lurking ,sorry Radleigh, but intend building it just trying to source props. good luck with your builds.
  15. Just noticed this thread , looks great so far love the weathering . I drove one , or it drove me, nearly 50 yrs ago the last time I remember was with a scraper on the back pushing pig slurry into a pit -- diorama? ours if memory was dusty grey , rusty red with greenish stains! will follow what is left with interest and hopefully look into this as well. best wishes Andy
  16. Gremlin did some nice resin Cessna and Piper twins, hard to find though, and aero Subaru a Fuji 200. If your up to older biplanes don't forget all the moths ex Frog , novo etc moths Airfix's new Tiger Moth and the Fox Moth by Aeropoxy in resin. Cheers Andy P.S. Aeropoxy do a nice Piper Pawnee and in the older bracket Spartan Cruiser
  17. Great build and an inspiration - I like the look of a Kiwi SAFE Air though!
  18. A breath of fresh air, I'll certainly be following your progress. I flew as an "oilie" in 61's many a day with Bristows, BCALH,BAH and Irish helicopters and perhaps a dutch one too but memory escapes me . Ive got a kit or two lying about too and the Whirlybird seat kit looks good. I'll have to dig them out and give them a try I've a AIM version as aforementioned as well as the Whirlybird. Keep up the good work and informative posts.
  19. A great model , well thought out and excecuted. cheers Andy
  20. Great modelling I've one of these in my stash and had fully intended to make it as the BEA mark as if would fit in with a highland and island theme. Great work enjoyed the WIP. Andy
  21. I'm a wee bit of a novice on here but add me to the list too please I've got a Classic / Airfix 107. Cheers Andy
  22. Knew the reg was familiar I have it as flying in Dec 83 from the Brent Bravo to the Treasure Finder , my first in a 212 then home in a Chinook! The Finder was a nice sight with a full compliment of 212's lined up in the hangar. I'd to inspect the overhead crane in there and wound up an engineer by saying I'd just hopped on top of a chopper-- actually they'd parked it at the end to give me access. Cheers Andy
  23. Hello Aaron, Nice posting love your choice of colour scheme . Brings back memories of flights in Bristows Bells both out of N Denes and on the Brents off the "Finder" and "Gothia" . Kinda inspired me to extract my proverbial finger, Cheers Andy
