  1. This is how I imagine the new tool Airfix Hampden in 1/48 ๐Ÿคซ Just love it Neil ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ If mine turns out as yours I would be a very happy man ๐Ÿ˜€
  2. That is a very nice Tornado you finished โœ”๏ธ looks like well used one as they did back in the days. Like the Mig as well ๐Ÿ˜€ cheers, Jan
  3. That looks rather nice ! Interested in how it measures up against the real thing ๐Ÿ™ƒ cheers, Jan
  4. Indeed the contrail conversions are far from stellar, bought once an Electra L188 conversion and I ended up not using it as it bad in execution shape wise and resin wise . choose wisely, Jan
  5. Always good to see a Skyvan being built ๐Ÿ‘ cheers and have fun, Jan
  6. Extra info extracted from Wikipedia The boats are not well protected, aside from some ceramic armorshielding for the machine gun pit, and some quarter-inch thick steel armor plate for the coxswain's flat. They were designed to rely on rapid acceleration, maneuverability, and speed to get out of dangerous situations. Cheers, Jan
  7. Iโ€™ve got the same kit and the Contrail lingering around and this build inspires me to start mine ๐Ÿคซ Also I have a vacmachine which is needed for this kit to get finished! The only thing that holds me is courage ๐Ÿ™ƒ cheers, Jan
  8. Love what you are doing with those transparencyโ€™s Neil (and with the rest as well)๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘ cheers, Jan
  9. The trick I use with Stynylrez is to clean the model with white spirit in order to prep it for the Stynylrez. I used once IPA and boy I had some serious paintlifting and now with the white spirit trick I have virtually none at least not more then with enamel ๐Ÿ™ƒ cheers, Jan
  10. The one I bought was new stock which they bought at a discounted price and they got two shipments of these โ€ฆit was not a slow seller at all ๐Ÿคซ It was gone in a jiffy ๐Ÿ™ƒ To be back on track on the latest edition I must confess the detail on the extra parts is low ๐Ÿฅด But it will sell as there are still enough people around that donโ€™t care about that as they donโ€™t have AMS ! cheers, Jan
  11. That boxing has been discounted outside the UK as I bought one for 45 euroโ€™s at The Aviationmegastore ๐Ÿคซ recently . cheers, Jan
  12. Indeed and it looks ๐Ÿ‘ and well awaited I think ! https://uk.airfix.com/products/avro-vulcan-b2-black-buck-plus-collectors-coin-bundlea29?fbclid=IwAR1W8MJtrXpZVfKG1zl5xj8N7-E8lekyboKVCFyPJBsoSc0KG2zm8RCfJJk
  13. Regarding the the Frankenstein FM Hampden I can tell you that this is just a copy of the Sanger vacform! I have both ๐Ÿ™ƒ and really everything matches up . cheers, Jan
  14. Nahh a new one will be coming when I build mine I have in the stash๐Ÿคซ
  15. Glad you are going to finish it as I loved what you did to it up till now ๐Ÿฅ‡ cheers, Jan
  16. Hello Pat count me in as well as I really want make something related to D-day ๐Ÿ™ƒ cheers, Jan
  17. This picture I linked is one taken at Bazenville in France in the D-day period when KG326 was there. In this picture you see KG320 so I would say use the small intakes ๐Ÿ˜‰ The small ones are pretty common on RAF Dakotaโ€™s. https://jenikirbyhistory.getarchive.net/media/douglas-dc-3-royal-air-force-transport-command-1943-1945-cl3885-843b53 cheers, Jan
  18. The site has mixed up some slides in my opinion and highly probably has some of the Freeman show as shown on the film as the B32 and B29 are next to each-other Rob just as in the slides . The most are from 1945 as the B32 is completely armed and they were flown to the desert in that period and scrapped in 1949. The B36 is from later period as the Air Force adopted these after 14 January 1947. cheers, Jan
  19. Mwoah so slow the past days I thought I reset my internet connection but that did not helpโ€ฆ
  20. Hereโ€™s a link just scroll a bit! But the cockpit glass is flat ๐Ÿฅด http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/333187-zvezda-172-ac-130j-ghostrider/ cheers, Jan
  21. What a very nice build this is Roger this tempting me to build the one I have ! One thing holding me back is that horizontal stabilizers are attached too low on the rear fuselage and I have AMS ๐Ÿคฃ Anyhow I love what you did to this lovely kit ๐Ÿ‘
  22. And adding in my opinion is that small clubs with rare planes often lack the experience to operate them safely enough and in emergencyโ€™s it results in bad judgement with a bad outcome.( even when flown by professionals) This is shown often when the authorities hand over the final reports. cheers, Jan
