  1. Well this afternoon i managed to get a couple of hours of peace while the kids were in bed having a nap so what better time to crack on with the concorde. So to begin with unaware of this being heard of previously. here are the instructions showing the location of parts 112, now after spendimg so much time looking at the referances i came to the conclusion that revell have you fit these incorrectly. As you can see the instructions have you fit the part on the outside of the undercarriage leg, whereas the real airfraft has these on the inside. So i have fitted these on the inside the same way as the picture which luckily matches up exactly with my detail that i have added ( more on the legs tonight). In other news i have spent a about an hour cutting the entrance door from the front of the fuselage, luckily all fingers still present. I know that HP had removed his door and scratch built the interior. I will be doing the same and using the screen shots i captured from a video i found on youtube. Unfrotunately the cameraman wouldn't stop for a breif second so the photos are a litlle blurry but will be sufficiant for what i need. Also the door will receive details like i have found below. main hinge top support bars and release catch which will be modified slightly and the decal will be modified before fitting. Hopefully more this evening thanks for looking in.
  2. I got a large bottle bottle of vallejo airbrush cleaner for 6.99 on amazon and had arrived at the front door just 2 days later a quick search on ebay will find plenty of cleaners at cheap prices.
  3. HP, WOW. Both your final finish and Cedb have produced some beautiful concordes i feel the pressure is on now to pull something wonderful out of the bag on my build i too am thinking of scratch building the interior and having the door open then scratch building some stairs but have it as .if it is waiting for the bankers, accountants and celebrities to board. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ i think when these are all done we should all meet up and show our display of concordes in one room like that famous photo of the concordes awaiting purchases like below. Once again well done on the amazing work 😊😊 i take my hat of to you
  4. Well the past few day on the concorde have been a little slow as the mad rush of the new year has been taking up so much time so first on the cards was having to sort the tail out here is a picture of the two halves with the ill fitting tail wheel bay(which is wrongπŸ˜•). So after having to cleann down several injector pin marks and several dryfits heres how it stands now. The coca cola can is in the picture to give an idea of the size of the tail section. And after fitting the tail peices together i couldnt resist but keep going so after approximately an hour i was left with this. Good job i have a rather large desk πŸ˜‚. Progress on the undercarriage legs are still on the go so a progress picture will be done later. Finally i have painted the interior of the cockpit but its still needing some more detail painting, so when i have finiahed the painting and decalling ill post a picture up. Thankyou for everyone who is following and commenting.
  5. As a starting aurbrush this kit is aa good one espiye the warranty on the compressor its a great little starter kit. My partner bought me this one for christmas and i cant wait to get it fres up. For the prkce its a bargain and when you can afford it you can always upgrade to a better brush and compressor.
  6. Hi everyone well it was going to be productive but the photos to follow mag show differentπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Well today i managed to find some better close ups of the undercarriage legs to get a closer look at all the hydraulic lines etc that was on the real thing. so here is the real front leg which as you can see holds a fair amount of piping and wiring. Now before i shpw you the progress shot of what i have acheived over the last hour or so, bare in mind i am pushing beyond my skill as scratch building is something i very rarely do. So here is where i got to so far. ( i will be adding much more but this is all i could do before my spectacle aided eyes began to give inπŸ€“πŸ€“) Now for the main undercarriage legs i have on made a very bare start on the details. Now again here is the real thing which i am hoping to get something close to. and below is where i am. Also i will be detailing the bays as well so i qill be continuing on the detailing and hopefully make it look like the real thing or at least close to. personally for me after a couple of hours i think im doing okay. I must remember to get more CA glue as this polystyrene cement seems to take forever πŸ˜‚. Well hopefully tommorow i will have more progress done on the detailing of the legs and hopefully i may of even managed to do some of the bays as well. Thanks Graham
  7. Well another day has gone by and after the early morning starts at work and long days, there has been little time this evening to do any extensive work on concorde. But i have done a small amount of work but also gathered some reference photos to to keep the fire lit. So to begin with i have built up the basic undercarriage legs shown below Once a small amount of cleanup has been done(mainly ejector pin marks😐) and any joins tidied up and looking presentable. I will then be adding some details to the legs and also some minor weathering. Here you can see various hydraulic pipes and other small details which to me looks like it would greatly improve the standard legs. Here you can see the front leg which shows again more pipes and various cables. I will be looking for a few more pictures during my day tommorow but i feel these are a good start. Also as shown in the picture above there is also room for improvement. So i will be adding detail and not forgetting the rear bays also. So this is what i am planning and also what i will be attempting to recreate. Hopefully my next update will be a little more productive and hopefully ill have something a littlw better to show. Thanks to everyone who joined along and commented😊😊
  8. Not sure if im going to go with that colour scheme i was pondering over doing a virgin atlantic one or even an american airlines one in the full metal finish πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  9. Cheers guys im hoping to have a few bits detailed more like the undercarriage legs and wheel bays. I will also be scooting back to your build Cedb so i can borrow some of your referances and use your finished beuty as a target of how well i want mine to look.
  10. Hi everyone, now before i start i would like to say this is my first ever work in progress build which i will hopefully get advice from all you guys. Now my aircraft in question is an aircraft which i had always dreamed of flying onboard but i guess the closest i can get is just the model. The legendery concorde. Now i know there have been many people say about how much of a pain this kit can be so its going to be a rollercoaster but with some luck this shoild be fun. So without further delay here is the start of what is hopefully going to be an enjoyable and experiencing as i hope. The usual box art picture The basic cockpit before paint and details.hopefully get some paint on and dome basic detailing done. Im hoping to have this displayed with the wheels down and also modify the flaps so they are in the rest position and who knows maybe a few more ideas along the way. Thankyou for looking in.
  11. As the old saying goes where there is a blame, there is a claim. Glad to see that the tail decals have settled well and i admire your honesty in admitting you may of applied the decal upside downπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ but it has worked a treat. It seems your reaching closer to the finish line now. Cant wait to see more progress 😊😊😊
  12. Cheers CedB filling me with confidence here πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ hopefully not all of those decals are going to be a pain. I will be asking for your advice when i get to this part as i have never used microsol or decalfix before. I hope for everyones sake the tail decals go as well as the build has. Keep up the great work mate i can see your starting to see the light at the end of this long enduring build. Best of luck mate ☺☺
  13. Fantastic work on this mate i have one of these on the christmas list but ill be dammed if i can find the photoetch set at an affordable price. I think you and CedB could have a battle off with these both being excellent builds. I will be following your progress closely. Once again outstanding work my friend
  14. Awesome work CedB mine arri ed in the post earlier this week but unfortunatly it has to be sent off to santa along with all the kids presents too 😣😣. So keeping a close eye on your build to see how much of a hole im going to be in haha. Excellant work so far mate best of luck with the big girl. Hopefully all that elbow grease and powertools pay off for you 😁😁
  15. Deary me CedB looks like time is waiting for no man in rrspect to both the clock and the concorde. And dont worry ive been told i got to wait till christmas along with my first airbrush and other little requestsπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰ once again great work so far mate. Graham
  16. Been following this everyday and i have risen to the challenge of asking the missus for a concorde. Im yet to mention the size haha. Great work so far mate really enjoying your build and will be continously following till the bitter but thankful end. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Graham
  17. Hi matey again as mentioned above hiroboy are the bible when ot comes to car parts i know they do a resin rb26 from a skyline which could give your car a frankenstein build like in the real world. If you are building a WRC car then i would recommend getting plenty of referances and pictures of the engine you are doing. I say this as the engines were uprated almost every year so it will be important to have the correct engine for that year of impreza. Hope you do a work in progress too as i would love to see this being done. Also if possible try to get get onto the subaru forums as many of the members will post up information abiut engines etc. Best of luck to you my friend. Graham
  18. Thanks for the advice parabat i will be as mentioned doing cars and aircraft but as a start i think something along this line will be great and like yourself ill get another brush to use for finer fetails. Tahnkyou for the advice its greatly appreciated😊😊😊
  19. Many happy returns for your birthday mate. Looks like you had a good birthday, as you mentioned earlier about which engine to choose i would recommend ussing the leyland engine as the scania engines were only put into the buses after the late 1970s if i remember correctly πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  20. Hlpefully all the engine casings have been modified and im hoping to do it going over the water with the bouncing bomb just hittting the water. Sometimes my visions and imaginations are vetter than my capabilities haha πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  21. Lokking fantastic mate im currently in progress of building a b111 but with four working engines hopefully i can make it look half as good as yours haha. Top work my friend
  22. I would recommend having a look on hiroboy they have a great catalogue of parts and paints so i would recommend looking there and maybe you might be able to find most of what you are looking for πŸ‘πŸ‘
  23. https://www.haraldjoergens.com/panoramas/lancaster/ This is a full walkround of just jane at east kirkby. Maybe this may be some help to you 😊😊😊
  24. Hopefully i should be going to that one as my dad will be there and hopefully catch up with a few friends there too. So ill pop over and come and say hi haha
  25. Thanks for the advice its going to be a sort of christmas present from the partner i would loved to of come down on sunday but as the luck would have it im at work and wouldnt be able to get there. Paul as you suggest im going to look at buying parts seperately and hopefully i can get a better setup for less money. Thanks guys i really appreciate all the advice you have shared with me. Graham
