  1. Very nice work with your first airbrushing. I started two years ago and now wonder why I never started earlier

  3. Some builds here...http://modelingmadness.com/kitindex/kitindext-z.htm http://www.arcair.com/Gal-Archives/prop/Yak7/01.shtm
  4. I've also lost the lines on occasion. While searching for another in my decal stash, I noticed on some decal sheets that the black lines that separated the different options were sometimes decals themselves. They won't provide the writing as on the kit decals but since I lost my second line I've started to remove the writing first, apply the decal and then apply the writing after
  5. Can't go wrong here...http://www.aviationofjapan.com/search?q=d3a+val+interior
  6. I believe the late Edgar Brooks said "always under the roundel"
  7. Alfred Price's book, "Spitfire A Complete Fighting History" and the Aerodata International book, "Spitfire I & II" both show a Spitfire Mk.Ia, X4179 of 19 Squadron with the DG and DE reversed on the tail. Someone has mentioned there is a second photo of AR213 but I've never seen it. Sorry about hijacking your thread
  8. Interesting about the Airfix mix up. I'm just starting to build their yellow nose 1:48 Mk.I LV⦾N AR213 and in my eye they made a mistake with the colours on the instructions. This is how the right side of the aircraft is shown on the instructions... ...and this is what my eye sees
  9. wp.scn.ru has many awesome but fake schemes so caution must be used
  10. I've used empty Bic pen ink tubes stretched out to make the clear area on the Bf 109 fuel line that runs through the cockpit. I'll try this instead of the of the Q-Tip tip. Thanks for that
  11. Lots of info here...https://stephentaylorhistorian.files.wordpress.com/2020/02/usnbd-british-bombs-and-pyrotechnics.pdf
  12. https://www.meeplemart.com/acrysion-color-6073.aspx?sort=ItemIDDesc https://www.canadiangundam.com/167-mr-color-acrysion
  13. That turned out very nice. Well done. I've found one source for Gunze Aqueous in Canada but I'll need to order a lot!!!!!! to justify shipping
  14. A nice walkaround here...http://www.grubbyfingersshop.com/walkaround_galleries/DH82_Tiger_Moth_Walkaround_A17-691_VH-UVZ_Temora_2014/content/index.html You'll notice the rigging is actually flat. I used P.E. rigging for my 1:48 Swordfish and regretted it. The pieces were too long.
  15. This company makes decals for Luftwaffe subjects: numbers, letters, emblems, National markings, etc....https://www.peddinghaus-decals.de/1-48-decals-for-planes/?language=en
  16. If you want the diagram, send me your email and I'll send it to you. I don't have the means to post images here or in PMs
  17. White stripes are 18" and the black stripes are 12"
  18. Thanks all. Got a text last night that said “airplane broke”. I’ll probably use CA on it and make it less breakable
  19. Very nice looking machine, well done
  20. Got a belated Xmas gift from Grandkid Ezra yesterday. It a kinda non-official Lego kit and good for ages 5+. The decals are stickers and as I later found out, they have the sticking power of a frightened limpet to a rock. A quick check shows the kit is a tad bigger than 1:48 and the serial number is for a Mk.IIa built by Castle Bromwich Aircraft Factory. P7350 served with 266Sq, 603Sq and 616Sq and is now with BBMF with markings for 41(F) Sqn. EB⦾G From this.... ....to this in about 15 minutes. Sorry about the lack of finished photos but he flew it home right after this shot The builder. This is the worst of three photos, because you know, the internet is forever and he will one day regret this. Build here...https://imodeler.com/2021/01/airfix-quick-build-spitfire/
  21. TO 1-1-4 for the F-4/RF-4 camouflage which doesn't seem to be in the copy I posted so here it is
  22. The Warpaint books shows the larger rack as per your lower photo. I'm thinking if you are mounting smaller than 1000lb bombs on your model, you are good to go.
