  1. Interested to hear how the masks turn out. I used them on my Airfix 1:48 B.P. Defiant posted somewhere here. They were a bit stiff around curves, and didn't settle into panel lines and moving surfaces. I used plenty of Tamiya Clear Flat around the edges of the masks to prevent bleed under and it turned out very well
  2. Not really sure.....it's white. It has a built in moisture trap and pressure adjustment dial. The tank is about 8"x4". There are no markings on it at all. This isn't mine but it looks similar to this...https://www.indiamart.com/proddetail/mini-air-compressor-for-tattoo-cake-and-small-applications-18122491233.html
  3. Very nice. Today I learned the Norwegian AF flew Sabres
  4. Very nice Tim. Pre-cut masks are the way to go with multi-panel cockpits. I was sold on them when I did the Airfix Defiant. I use the Aztek 470 airbrush. Very nice and easy to use and clean
  5. Wow, very nice
  6. Very nice. Mine's a ceiling dangler, I'll let the spiders create the antennae.
  7. Interesting bit here...https://olive-drab.com/od_history_ww2_ops_battles_1944normandy_invasionstripes.php I believe there were orders to remove the stripes from the upper wings first and later from the rest of the aircraft as time allowed George
  8. Nice to get rid of the "block". I've been using Vallejo Model Air more frequently and really like it. One thing I've learned is to let the paint sit for a minimum of 24hrs before masking and remove as much tape tack as you dare. I then run a thin bead of clear flat around the edge of the tape. After shooting I try and get the tape off within the hour. Doing in this I rarely have bleed under and on most models, no paint lift
  9. Shame about the resin parts and as you said, the kit cockpit isn't bad if the canopy is closed. For what its worth, the kit bulkhead behind the pilot doesn't fit well either. I'm going to add some plastic strip to flesh it out. I'm still trying to remove the outer gun panels which Tamiya molded raised for some reason
  10. Great kit. I'm building this at the moment, converting it to an FM-1. The fit is as perfect as I have ever seen, no mud involved which is a rarity for me. Not sure what the resin piece looks like but Tamiya erred making a full cockpit floor, it should be open to allow the pilot to view the two small windows in the bottom of the fuselage
  11. Very nice. When I did mine a few years ago, it was before I started using an airbrush. Once I brush painted the "night", I very lightly dry brushed the camo colours on where there would be the most wear; engine covers, leading edges and cockpit
