  1. I don't know if this is a decent price for 1:72 https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?LH_PrefLoc=2&_from=R40&_nkw=1%2F72+cf-100&_sacat=0&_sop=15
  2. Beauty. I wish I could find a decently priced 1:48CF-100
  3. Unfortunately I don't like the way the photos get posted here. I agree with the sites reasoning but this is just the way I feel. Photos here.......... https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/threads/finished-1-48-spitfire-mk-vb-night-war-of-wwii.44264/
  4. Very nice start. What paint brand did you use for the interior.? For my night-fight spitfire black camo I used Tamiya Tire Black, Nato Black and Dark Grey
  5. Very nice. All the clear parts and wing mounts are preventing me from purchasing this. That and a promise to myself not to buy anymore kits until my second reincarnation
  6. I feel your pain Neil. My closest "hobby" shop is a 400km round trip and contains the bare minimum of kits and supplies
  7. Beautiful looking Frank. What paint/colors did you use for the camo?
  8. Very nice. The weathering really shows up well on this side of the pond
  9. Nice. I've always liked this aircraft
  10. Agreed. I rarely use the kit decals unless I have no other choice. Its either after-market or bits and pieces from other kits. My current F4F/FM-1 Wildcat will receive decals from four different donors
  11. https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_odkw=1%2F48+BF109+G-6+decals&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sop=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=1%2F48+BF109G-6+decals&_sacat=0 Might be something here for you
  12. Looks great. A beautiful aircraft in 1:1 scale as well
  13. I'm strictly 1:48, a scale in which you can add a bit of extra detail and it will still be visible. For the beginner I strongly suggest HOBBYCRAFT. Just kidding. Now that everyone's heart has restarted, I agree with all of the above and say to go with a Tamiya Spitfire. Build a few of their kits to gain confidence and then venture out to other brands. There are some dogs out there so before making a purchase I recommend reading as many builds as you can find on this site and others so you can discover potential pitfalls. By the by....Hobbycraft kits on the whole aren't that bad but do require some extra effort
  14. Great restoration. I've done four myself. Took old kits from when I first started back modelling, fixed some seams and as you did, a better paint job
  15. Very nice. I really must get going on mine again
  16. I have the book, "Latvian Air Force 1918 - 1940". Unfortunately there is no mention which shade of green is used, every caption says "Dark Green". Regarding photos and profiles... Fokker D.VII: Dark Green overall Gloster Gladiator Mk.I: Dark Green with Light Grey lower surface Bristol Bulldog Mk.II: Natural metal overall with upper wings, tailplane surfaces and upper rear fuselage decking in Dark Green Nieuport 24bis: Apparently they only had one but there is no photo or profile
