  1. Looks like a lot of good info here. This is how I converted a B-26 to a U.S. Navy JM-1 using plastic strip, plastic card and your favourite mud
  2. Maple Leaf roundels make any aircraft look better
  3. Something I read years ago while doing my D.520 is that they didn't have a standard camouflage so as to confuse enemy reconnaissance. Kinda, sorta makes sense but at the same time doesn't. To me it always seems that French aircraft camouflage was applied with a fire hose.
  4. Just caught up on this from two years ago. Looking good Jamie. I struggled with the original nacelles and ended up doing a lot of grinding. I don't know how many times the kit hovered over the garbage can. Johnny_K's method of attaching the wings to the fuselage is almost identical to the way I did it. Keep it up
  5. Just your basic Eduard kit, not much drama. Painted with Tamiya, a 3:2 mix of XF-18 Medium Blue/XF-2 Flat White for the PRU Blue undersides
  6. Love it. Any aircraft looks better with a maple on it
  7. Well done. Love the camo section on NMF....right up my alley
  8. Cool. I was hoping to see it built. I painted mine before I could airbrush and wondered how I would do the mottling. I ended up creating some and printed them on clear decal film. I also dry brush some on as well
  9. Some pics here of a scratch built dolly. I can't vouch for the accuracy of said dolly https://www.warbird-photos.com/gpxd/viewtopic.php?t=14702&start=20
  10. Found this so maybe I was wrong about wood http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/archive/index.php?t-33069.html
  11. I was told the trolley was wooden and painted a darkish grey. I painted mine RLM 66. Special Hobby thought that it might have been painted Panzergrau Grey
  12. I've got Ginter's book, "Douglas F4D Skyray" and there is a drawing that says "External Stores F4D-1 Skyray". In that stores location it says there was something called a Mk.1 Mod. 2 Target Container. Google shows nothing
  13. If I see a photo I want to post from the web, I do a reverse image search to look for the owner of the photo. Chances are the photo may be from Wiki such as the above which I cropped. Wiki states, "This file is a work of a sailor or employee of the U.S. Navy, taken or made as part of that person's official duties. As a work of the U.S. federal government, it is in the public domain in the United States." Safe to post as it is "Public Domain"
