  1. Now all new parts are ready to send to the printer. The clear parts such as wind shield and canopy will be also printed with grey resin to check if they fit properly before printing with clear resin. While the print job is running I can spend a bit time on preparation of instruction sheets. 🙂 Serkan
  2. Many thanks Colin. You are right, neither SR-71A Blackbird nor A-12 Oxcart has missile bays, but YF-12A "The Thing". To carry Hughes targetting radar the nose shape is ogive and the chine is not extending up to pitot tube. 😁 Serkan
  3. And here are the A-12 and M-21 cockpit tubs and instrument panels: The front fuselage including cockpit tub, windshield and canopy: Next step is to print all updated and new parts, and perform fit tests. Serkan
  4. Last two weeks I was working on cockpit and instrument panel improvements of all A-12 variants (including TA-12 and M-21). Here are the TA-12 front (same as A-12 prototype cockpit) and rear cockpit areas: Next step is to complete serial production A-12 and M-21 cockpit & instrument panel details. Serkan
  5. Simply awesome. How did you print the clear parts? I have printed the windshield and canopy parts with clear resin for my ongoing 3D Blackbird/Oxcartproject but without applying an additional clear cote it is not possible to get crystal clear parts. Serkan
  6. Very impressive progress so far. I built Airfix Viggen 30 years ago and was thinking to rebuild it. Your project will help me much. Serkan
  7. Another fantastic build Paul. Looks very beautiful. I have on in 1:32 from Hasegawa to be built. Serkan
  8. Amazing work Paul. I did decal artwork for all FSD aircrafts I but haven't found time to start yet. Serkan
  9. Very impressive fleet. All look very eye catching. Serkan
  10. Hi Alan, I caught up this build very late. The progress you made is amazing. Serkan
  11. Significant progress so far Matt. All parts are coming along very nicely. It is unavoidable to see all imperfections before applying a primer coat. Serkan
  12. I will just repeat what was already said by the others: Amazing work Tony! I had a Saturn 2 8k unboxed in my hobby room in basement since last April but I sold it last weekend on xbay with a good reason: My new Saturn 3 12k Ultra arrived in last week too! 🥳🍾 I did test print of A-12 in 1:72 scale using Mars 3 4k with 33 micron resolution (by the way the new Mars 4 9k has 18 micron resolution). Now I have everything to print Oxcart with higher resolution in 1:48 and 1:32 scales as well. Serkan
  13. Absolutely agreed Pete! Here are the freshly printed parts including missile bays and AIM-47 Falcon missiles: There are few areas to be improved and some extra supports have to be added for better printouts but in general the bays look good. Next step is to add bay doors. Serkan
  14. Many thanks Igna. I am afraid that having only the outer wing will not help. You will have to replace both intake cowling/outer wing assembly as well as the spikes and engine/nozzle assemblies. You can identify these parts from below photos:
  15. I haven't forgotten my word Steve. I have attempted to send a mail to you without having success. I receive a such a strange message: "Fritag cannot receive messages." Serkan
  16. Little update on YF-12A model: The three missile bays were added to lower fuselage. I had to use my imagination and creativity to add the details due to lack of reference pictures. Next step is to add the missile bay doors. Serkan
  17. Here are the 3d printed A-12 and YF-12A together with A-12and M-21 models based on Italeri/Testors kit with self made casted resin parts; The outer wing has been modeled separately to allow adding the engine bay details in near future. Here are again only the printed aircrafts together: Serkan
  18. Thanks Matt, but still a lot to do. I haven't started modelling of the cockpit and missile bays which is a bit of work. Actually I was trying to select a proper emoji but my thick fingers didn't allow me to pickup the right one from my mobile phone's display. 😁 Yes I am also very happy with the print quality of my Mars 3 printer which has 33 micron xy resolution. But the new Saturn 3 should give much better results with its 19 micron resolution. This tiny oscillatory canard vanes mounted on YF-12A are from NASA/USAF test campaign to study dynamic behavior of the large flexible aircraft over a wide range of Mach numbers and flight conditions. They look very similar to B-1B canards. Serkan
  19. By the way, today I will receive my new pre-ordered Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra 12K printer (although I have a brand new Saturn 2 8K unboxed still in basement) 🙂 (source Elegoo website)
  20. Here are more close view pictures: There are some areas to be improved but in overall the model seems fine. Serkan
  21. As everybody said this is an amazing build with extraordinary craft skills. Serkan
