Thanks Ozzy, no apologies needed, I just lost track of the chat, and didn't know if the front page listing was up to date, as its not part of the host's first post.

Silly me! I did check the Trumpy D, but forgot about the G...

Hi there, Hopefully, I'll have a go at this GB. I may have missed something, but what qualify, and what does not is quite unclear to me. can someone help with those listed above?

Hi Nigel, Not my prefered one, but it still ok. In a way, the Phrog round up surprisingly many colourfull scheme, and the choice is difficult. I might want to try another, once this one's over, hopefully. Maybe that was HB interpretation of those cabalistic signs...

Sorry, Steeve, just don't know. I think there are none at the moment, but you can safely consider scratching it, as the shape is not that complicated.

Most probably the 1/48 serie downsized, and updated.

Already did some search, but found no clear answer. I think the machine was upgraded from A to D

1/72 Hobby Boss CH-46E/F SeaKnight in a Japanese Scheme

Nice work going on there. Thanks to your posts, I can clearly see where I'll add details on my own build, and where I'll leave it as that. -
CH-46 / KV-107 Reference Thread
Antoine replied to Enzo the Magnificent's topic in CH-46 / KV-107 STGB
Could be useful for other machines too, as I see for exemple pics of the underbelly searchlight that Fujimi forgot in its HH-46A box. From my point of view, it does look the same. IPMS Stockholm -
And now for a closer look at the details. Finely engraved panel line all over the structure. The small sponsoons. I wish I could have found a box with the bigger ones, as I prefer the Phrog's look with those We have some nice details inside, but the cargo looks otherwise quite empty. I think the pit'll look nice as it is, I just have to add some seat belts. Nice U/C too, just need some brake lines And last a nicely detailled rotor head. Maybe just a few wire? See you all next weekend, I might be able to cut some plastic part by then.

My pleasure! After this teaser-like introduction... My first plan was to disguise it as a colourfull JGSDF KV-107 with the help of a Printscale decal sheet, but this subject seems to be highly popular, so I prefered to revert to the box option, which is after all as nice as the Japanese KV. It's not up to me to tell the story of the Sea Knight, as it's already available for anyone elsewhere on the net after a quick search, but I take some time usually to write a few line with my precise subject in focus. But.... This time, I'm out of references, and I know next to nothing about the Phrog... I even can't tell what's the exact version, A as the boxart tell us, or a D... I just know this machine belong to the Marines, and was part at some time of Iwakuni MCAS station rescue flight. Well, it's time to see what's out of the box. The sprues The clear parts Instruction sheet, that seems to be clear enough Markings. I'll go for BuNo 150951, as I was able to find a couple of pictures on the net. And the decals sheet

Hi Steve, You won't find the pod you need in this set. Bolo's pods were QRC-160-1, that latter became AN/ALQ-71. Be careful, as there are many QRC-160 version, the -8 being already an AN/ALQ-87. And if you already drowned in US designations, just check this.

Good start! I'm going for an HH too, but from Iwakuni, using Fujimi's box. Do you master the differents HH versions? Fujimi's boxart show what's a D to me, but say it's an A?

Antoine replied to Nigel Heath's topic in CH-46 / KV-107 STGB
First many thanks for the references pics. I'm starting from 0 with the Phrog, so I'll steal everything useful in the different build reports in this section. And without any afterthoughts! Got to get my own thread going, or I'll be late once again! -

Morane Saulnier Type L - COMPLETE
Antoine replied to Wonky Donkey's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Thanks! Same here, and the kit is far from being pricey. I'd go for an RFC machine. I'd love to find another Ed kit, too. -
Some great work there. I know early SEA camo were done in the field, but can't remember such a weathered F-4C.

Splendid, really! Funny, I own this box too, but can't remember about the huge PE sheet. Got to check this. I've fond memories about my first MS, the type N, build nearly ten years ago, that seeing yours makes me want to start this L straightaway! By the way, I know about at least one set of AM decals, for a Russian machine. Big H -
I'm more than halfway through my current read, so it's time to choose the next book. Browsing through my bookshelves, I've found those three, perfect to get in the GB's mood. Well, what about "46 driver"???

You're talking about operation Bolo, that took place in january.... 1967. They were flying F-4C at the time, the E arriving much latter in Vietnam, in november 68.
