  1. First wash tonight: Light rust brown. I'll let it dry till tomorrow evening.
  2. I've put on the last coat of RAL 8000, carefully, so the pré-shaddinf is still visible. Then I've cleared a little all the main panels with some RAL 7027 sandgrau. Maybe a little too much... But nevermind, weathering is far from being finished. Then, when everything has dried, I carefully removed the maskol. The lesson here for me is that I shouldn't have put the maskol on the alu coat, but only on the panzergray coat. Lifecolor don't stick very well on the alu coat, and removing the maskol damage too much the paint work. You can see that too much of the alu coat is visible. But again, nevermind, I should be able to "smooth" the effect a little during the next weathering stage:
  3. Very clean, and good looking. Well done.
  4. Great work! I like the MB326 very much. Did you use some aftermarket for those kits?
  5. Then, the first coat of RAL 8000. And a little pre-shading, in black, before the last coat of RAL 8000 tomorrow.
  6. I've received this new sheet straight from Iliad Decals yesterday, and thought it might have some interest for some of you: Very nicely printed, and all those hurrys are not very common to say the least! Exactly the kind of decals sheet from which you want to make all the subjects. Can be interesting for those participating in the forgotten war GB.
  7. Pretty good PR spit!!! 1/48? Which one?
  8. The only update (In the box that you can see up in this post) is the photo etch part for the turret's top, and the metal barrel.
  9. You wont be disappointed, Daz. The kit is quite old (25 years???), but still, great. And very fun to build, really.
  10. Yes, looking great so far.
  11. The sides of the turret were damaged (My fault, didn't cut them properly). I've repaired them with tamiya putty, then after drying, I've done some micromeshing, and that's it. After a very quick alu coat, I've put some maskol from places to places, randomly, before applying another coat, this time in german grey. Next is a yellow coat, as the vehicle will be from the DAK, or from some units in Rhode Island.
  12. A very nice kit, that I'll build straight from the box. here is the PMMS reviews As far as I'm concerned, the 2mm too long barrel are not that bothering. The building phase is nearly finished, I only have to glue the wheels (I'll paint them separately), the turret's top, made in photodec mesh (I'll do it shortly), the $%*§@ thing (Sorry, don't know how to name it...) that will go just behind the wheel (The plastic ones are much too big, I'll made some other in an alumnium sheet), and the jerrycans (i must wait till the decals are applied, as they come just on top of the German crosses.

    Airwaves

I'm currently looking for some airwaves conversion kit (PR Spit related), but was wondering where I can found them on the net, apart from Hannants? Any idea?
  14. It is, Mike. By the way, our air force lost the first one, from 7e EC at St Dizier a few weeks ago, pilot killed.
  15. The light grey. But don't forget that they were painted in the US, with US colours.
  16. You've two Aeromaster decal sheets for the RAF Jugs: 48-029 with only one Thunderbolt I (razorback, P-47D-22) 48-302 with six thunderbolt II (Bubbletop, P-47D-28/30/40) Both sheets are very difficult to find, to say the least...
