  1. - Before the glue on the wheel's axle dry, put one track element under the wheels. - I wanted a "live" suspension, so I've put an old brush handle under the track. - Then make sure that all the wheels are touching the tracks. - Then put some consequent weight on the hull, and let dry.
  2. Building the running gear, step by step: - Build all the wheels/Idler wheel/Drive sprockets. - Glue in place the front and rear wheel axle of each side, and let them dry. - Prepare the tracks. Each track must be in two elements. Don't glue anything yet. Put each element on tamiya tape, as shown on the post above. - Then glue the wheels in place, with a very thin glue (Like tamiya's), that'll give you some time to work. Note: Just tell me f you don't understand, or don't hesitate to correct me, as I'm not really sure of all those technical words...
  3. Work for today: I'll try to add shortly some pics of the way I've choose to build the running gear.
  4. After building the Sd.Kfz.222 to take a rest, let's get on tracks! A big box, with everything needed to make a good kit OOB. Review on PMMS I still don't know which tank I'll make, but anyway, it will be west front, germany 1945, as they never served on the East front, even if they were designed to. I'd like to make a little dio, maybe with a TC scanning the horizon, or a deserted machine, with a GI approaching? By the way, if you've some idea about the figurine, let me know.
  5. Where did you read/listen that the scooter was not a good dogfighter??? Just curious.
  6. Good show Leigh about your ICM spit guideline. And while we're at it (Spit!), what about the Italeri 1/48 Mk IX??? (The PR/FR variant please me well).
  7. Go for the tam's kit. And for the miniarm range to make it better. You can check the miniarm production quality on PMMS.
  8. Looking good. Navigating is more easy, and there are some goods news, new books and new decal sheets.
  9. Steph is right about the shape for the upper chaff dispenser. I've also heard about the wrong shape for the engine nozzle, but 2000D and N got the same ATAR, so I'm not really sure. There is no pitot tube on the D's radome. There are some (RWR?) antennas on the D tailfin, that are not present on the N There may be also differents airscoops on the belly of each aircraft. So I shouldn't have been so pessimistic, but let's hope that Renaissance give us a complete corrective set, and not only the chaff/flare dispenser. Renaissance-models Some good reference, but still not enough, as they didn't show all the differences between differents marks of 2000: At La maison du livre aviation. But try to get it from Britain.
  10. What did you smoke, Bex???
  11. Just see how useful they can be. A 2000N or D with an engine problem, trying to bring the aircraft back to base (Nancy it seems). They nearly succeed... they ejected safely.
  12. Things are not really clear I'm afraid, but let me a few min/hours and I'll try to tell you what's exactly wrong for a D with Eduard's box.
  13. Graham, are you aware that you can't make a D straight from the box with this kit?
  14. Loooking already very good, Andy.
  15. I agree. But I must say that Hurricane over Malta is a "Cull only" book. I have a preference for Malta, the Hurricane years. You can also check MDF-2 And if you're looking for a decal sheet: Iliad-design
  16. I may misunderstand what you say, but chandelle is translated to candle in english, so I'm doubtful about a climbing turn. You fly straight and level, full power, and then you pull on the stick for a vertical climb. That's what I understand to be a chandelle. But even if I'm a private pilot, I must admit that my experience in aerobatics is nil. I'm also in Paris!
  17. Good luck, Dragan. Iraqi? Egyptian? Syrian?
  18. That's very nice from you all. I plan to make a diorama, as the box got nearly everything to do it. So next I have to paint the motorbike, and then the crew and biker. And then? Well, I'd like to add an AB-41, or an opel Blitz. What do you think?
  19. The build is here Where I explain that I've goofed about the peeling effect...
