  1. Nice! I've once had the chance to drive one, back in Berlin during winter89/90. I've got plans to build one too, someday, based on Tamiya's, coupled with Accurates Armour stuff. Not exactly true, AMX-30 were capable to use diesel as well as gasoline. This capacity was used during cold Germanic winters, where the front tank was filled with gasoline for start and warm-up, and both rear tanks with diesel to continue. All the driver had to do was to select the tank, and then move an handle in either gasoline or diesel position. As for "the best tank of the Cold War", well... Wonder how it could be the case when the loader has to deal with two-parts shell, like those used by arty.... Nearly double the time needed to load the gun.
  2. The more you welcome in, the less focus you get... Just saying.
  3. Hi there, I'm wondering if Arms corps is still around? Sent them an email moons ago, without any answer so far. I checked again their webpage this morning, and noticed they had troubles with their resin provider, and also with their mailbox. Fine... but then saw the date, december 2015! Can someone confirm they're still active?
  4. Hi John, It's not in direct relation to the AdA, and the name is Musée de l'air et de l'espace. And I'm afraid, it isn't up to the standard of British museum that I've had the chance to visit, as clearly, we're lacking in the preservation of our aviation heritage over here.
  5. I'm quite relaxed, thank you, but are you kidding me? Do you really believe I'm the one to lighten up? Of course PJ does what he wants with his own business, he's perfectly free to setup a range of models limited to Brits and German kite and to keep his close-minded attitude if he likes to... At least if its really what he wants, as I never saw this written down somewhere. As well, I'm perfectely free to think, if its indeed his decision, that its utterly stupid. To say the least.
  6. It is indeed. What I remember is that many RFC and RNAS aces flew French fighters, mainly Nieuport. Caldwell is one name that came to mind. But as Sir PJ is only interested in Brits and German aircraft... That's not conspiracy, that's just what I believe, and my opinion is as valuable as yours.
  7. Hi John, Don't expect anything like that, as PJ's History books tells him that WW1 was fought exclusively by UK and Germany in some kind of no man's land that happened to lie in between.
  8. Glad to hear that you've changed yourr mind since our last conversation on the subject.
  9. Funny, I've the same project, since I'd get the book shortly after its release, quite some time ago.... But I'll start from a B-25B, the only one that I have.
  10. I'll ask some friends in Taipei, to know what's the consensus over there.
  11. Such an old topic, I'm wondering how I missed it in 2012. I've read Sharkey's book back in the early 90's. And in my French mind, it is one of the best, if not the best book written about air warfare at this time. Pook's book is fine, but still one step behind, and Morgan's... well, he speaks too much about his personnal (love) affairs to my taste. I wish other SHAR pilots will write down their memory one of these days. Ewen Southby-Tailyour's are really fine, too. I've yet to read Exocet Falklands.
  12. Hi there, As the title say, are there any aftermarket decals for RNZAF Skyhawks out there, covering all the aircraft's career? I've got a Novascale sheet, but this cover only the A-4G early in their RNZAF service. IIRC, there was also Gekko Graphics, but I don't know if they're still around? Any idea, or others optionss?
  13. Oops... I've searched Red Roo's page for some time, but... in the conversion section! Didn't know that it was in fact a complete kit! So thanks a lot, Andre! I'll do search a bit more for an 1/48 model.
  14. Hi Stephen, I can see only a Cavalier Mustang, no Turbo or Dart machine. Did I missed something?
  15. Hi there, Can anyone help me to source an 1/48 (my preference), or even an 1/72 conversion for a Turbo, or Dart Mustang? I know that there was at least one for each scales in Heritage's range, maybe there are some other? Whatever, I've spent some time searching, but for absolutely zero result. So thanks in advance to anyone able to point me in the right direction.
