  4. Nice topic! Always interesting, as you can often find gold nuggets, or just ideas in other's stash. My listing shows around 90. I mean, 90 cardboard or plastic boxes... So it'll be difficult to show in one picture. But if you like, give me your choice between 1 and 90, and we'll see what's inside. Just one box!

Well, to be honest, I don't restrict myself to a specific scale, but it just happen that I like Hasegawa, and that they did release some tournedoes in 1/72, but not in 1/48. And to be really honest, I'm not really confident in the overall quality of Revell's releases in 1/48.
  8. There's hope after all, as its maybe a new model from WnW perspective, but the French version has already been tackled by Heller not that long ago.

So smart in fact, that nobody will ever notice anything, and 99% of people will just take it for what it is at first look, just an obscure ugly kite from WW1, and then move along straightaway.   10. Thanks to WNW, we have now a most important WW1 aviation milestone covered in 1/32! Wait is over, the dream is now reality! Now the good news, if you're afraid of rigging, you don't have to tackle this obscure Junkers, just get yourself a Fokker D.VII, and you'll have only two small X up between fuselage anb upper wing, and down accross the landing gear legs.

  15. Hi Chris, Those are not exactly informations, as I'm not sure about anything, and so far, nobody confirmed anything. I just know that they didn't answered to my mail.
  16. At the moment of the crash landing, no. But later, being repared and joined by N°2 & 5 thanks to spare parts sent from France, they had the red/yellow stripes on both cowlings, red tailplane, and white horizontal band. Also, the "gazelle" insignia is present on both sides.

  18. Sorry Jonners, forgot to tell about IV sqn. On a par with 400, only for training. Also, my sources are Ventura pub. twin booklets about Merlin PR Spitfires, in Classic Warbirds collection.
  19. That's indeed the case, the XIII were not flown on ops by 400 sqn, as they served only to help transition to XI. Even 541 & 542 sqn flew little ops on them, using them mainly for training.
  20. Eight Potez 63 (four 631 fighters & four 633 bombers, numbered 1C to 4C and 5C to 8C) were ordered in july 1937 by the Chinese government. At least three of them arrived in crates at Haiphong during summer 1939. Documents shows n°1, 2 and 5, but as all pictures shows 633s, it is believed that SNCAN (Potez) send aircrafts that could be fitted either as fighters or bombers. Whatever, the Potez were all incomplete, but nevertheless put under embargo in september. Crates are sent to Tong (Vi thuy, north-east of Hanoi). The embargo is lifted on december, but only one aircraft can be completed. Come summer 1940, and then all three aircraft are requisitionned, this time permanently. GMA (Groupe Mixte Aérien) 595 takes the only flying machine in charge, N°5, but in november, the aircraft is damaged while landing at its base, Bach My. As few to no spare parts at all are available, N°5 will stay unserviceable a full year, and thus will not take part in the war with Thailand. Camo is the usual French three tone camo of the time, cocarde at the six positions, with a big white five aft of the fuselage roundel.
