Hi Tobias, to my knowledge, there's no conversion available. I once planned to do the same in 1/72 starting from an 1/48 Phantom drop tank.

It seems that Wingnut scewed up big time. Look like they completely missed the shape, not to speak of the dimensions...

Welcome back, Ian!

The book is indeed expensive, but you've to realize that it is most probably the definitive work on the SMB2, and as such it's worth the price. So if you're a real fan of the aircraft, just get it, but if you're just looking for some quick references because your next build happen to be an SMB2, just move away.

Usually, those kind of book are fast becoming sold out, so do not wait for too long, or you'll have to get it from ebay for a few hundred €...

Wreckage of USS Lexington Located in Coral Sea including aircraft
Antoine replied to Navy Bird's topic in Real Aviation
While with VF-3, Gayler F4F-3 was F-13 (BuNo 3986), but for exemple he flew Thach F-1 (3976) on 20/02/42. -
I love the 113, but an Aussie Leo 1 would suits me well, too.

MP answered, Dave, thanks.

Look for John A. Leppla/John Liska crew, from VS-2 aboard Lexington.

Love that kind of double build. Very well done so far. -
In Taipei, back in 2014, there were three main Hobby Shops. In fact I found three when I arrived in 2010, and my Taiwanese friends told me the same (but there must be a few more selling gundam and the likes). I believe they're all still around, hopefully at the same address. Those three are: Ji shin (or Jixing) AFV MPK All three are not really near 101, especially MPK, so you'll have to use MRT, bus or taxi. To Jishin, MRT is the best, as there's a station nearby, Longshan temple (Dragon mountain temple) IIRC. For the other two, you can setup your trip by bus using googlemap, this works well. There's a usefull pass that makes the bus and MRT easy, you can get it at any MRT station. Got to remember the name. You can even use it as a credit card with 7/eleven and the likes. But taxi is also very cheap, you can indicate the nearest big crossroad to the driver, or the full address. FYI, I believe that about one taxi driver out of one hundred speak english. Also, do not forget to keep your hotel card with you for the return trip. - Ji shin The smallest, but maybe the warmest shop of the three. Laoban is an ex ROCAF mechanic who used to work on F-86 at Hsinchu (I believe). Doesn't speak english, but most friendly (Taiwanese are, really). His son does. Here you can meet the cream of Taiwan modellers community. Here also, you can order every Hasegawa kit, as long as it's not OOP... for about half the European price. And you'll get it in... three days! - MPK Biggest of the three - And AFV

Give me an hour to setup something.

Where will you go in Taipei?

Well, guys, better face reality, I haven't started yet, and won't be able to do so in time before the GB's end, for different reasons. So, I'm off this one. I just hope to meet you all again on another blindaille GB before the end of the year. Cheers!

Ah, ok, sorry! I didn't get the situation.

Too late! I've got a screen print that I can post on Billy goat's bottom!

There's this Whitley VII... And those Japanese birds. And not expensive at all. Why not, after all?

my mistake, I realised too late. I know a bit about Anigrand, but nothing about Sanger. I'll dig a bit about the later, just out of curiosity.

You could'nt be wrong with most of them. They're often kind of bibles in their own way. But I reckon they could be a nightmare if you're not fluent enough in French, due to the sheer volume, in general around 350+ pages.

Nor I am. I need practice! Piper Twin Comanche. See the big white barn with grey doors in the distance? Here's my workplace. Then you're a man of good taste.
