  1. Might be interesting for one or the other but not for me. I´m simply more interested in aircrafts that made it made it beyond prototype stage.
  2. Might be and as always in our hobby it comes down to personal preferences. To me, 1/72 and even 1/48 sucks and I haven´t build any of it for 25years or so. My scale is 1/32 for aircrafts, 1/35 for military vehicles of all kind and 1/24 on US-trucks. Why? Because it´s my persoanl preference. That simple it is.
  3. Sorry to say, but the windshield of the A-10 looks as misshaped as the one in the original kit.
  4. I can´t imagine it´s many but if I would have to take a guess I would say low 4 digit figures per year if at all. Around ten years ago I listend to a discussion on a Revell booth that their Titanic 1/570 from the early eighties is the best selling plastic kit ever and that they sold 1 million kits of it in 30 years. To me that sounds not too much and makes me wondering what kind of bad business some kits might be. Another story I heard is that the 1/32 Mossi of Tamiya is more or less a no mover and there won´t be any new batch set up once they are gone but again, who knows if this is all true.
  5. Thank you Yasa, really appreciated, Didn´t see that one before.
  6. Well, as already specified in my first post: Looking for two-seater Frogfoot painted in Eggplant Grey but not the famous 79red. Any further concern afterward more precisely please.
  7. Good day, I´m currently building Trumpeters Su-25UB and thinking about to paint it Eggplant Dark Grey. Unfortunatelly, the only reference I find so far is 79red. Does someone of you know if there are more two-seater Frogfoot painted in grey or is the 79red the only one?
  8. What about the rumour that Trumpeter reworks the mold? I noticed that the EE Lightning is available on Ebay from China again. It wasn´t for years and I think I remember it was somewhere said it is available because Trumpeter reworks the mold.
  9. Thank you all, this is great information.
  10. Good day, just thinking of my next project and I´m currently really into the BF109. It will be the F or G version in Africa ideally with MK151 gun pods. So far I couldn´t find any picture showing the MK151 gun pod used in Africa so I wonder if it was used there. Can somebody here confirm it was used in Africa?
  11. Maybe another BF109, Spitfire or P-51 in 1/72. That would be a blast, wouldn´t it?
  12. Too bad but at that price it won´t hit my workbench. Good luck Revell
  13. I have three of which one is finished. It has issues but nothing somewhat skilled modelers can´t fix. No one talks about the screw ups of Tamiya but Trumpeter gets all the bashing possible....but I guess we better don´t start that discussion
  14. Damn, there goes my money. Hope the KA-52 is next and I also want to have a SU-17/20/22 in 32scale and the SU-24 32scale. Do you hear me, Takom, Meng or who ever listens?
  15. Nice. Definitely a must have for me. Just wondering if and when "Z" decals will come....
  16. Both were certified but I haven´t seen any pictures carrying them in Vietnam.
  17. Thanks for fast response. If I´m not totally wrong it seems the AGM-12C is carried on the inner pylon. right?
  18. Good morning, I´m thinking about my next Vietnam project which should be not one of the typical snake & nape trucks. The AGM-12C is one of my favourite weapons of that air war and the aircraft I´m going to build shall carry it. Has anybody of you picture of an aircraft over Nam carrying AGM-12C that is not a Skyhawk or Phantom? The only pictures I find are this two birds but they are not the ones I like to build at the moment. I know it´s unusual to build something around the ordnance but I like to go that path than picking an aircraft and than thinking about what to put under it. Cheers
  19. was it announced? Ca´t recall to have seen any announcement
  20. Thanks Jack, I take this as a "no" and after some research I strongly agree. Taking into account how long it takes today to get paint from a supplier into a factory (according to the specification) I highly doubt factories had the paint available when the order to stop coating zimmerit was issued. It might only apply to tanks already finished and standing in the yard wainting for the paint job. Anyway, I paint it not in ambush but so far not sure how. Simply don´t find most patterns on Henschel with zimmerit very appealing.....
  21. Good day, I was hoping to find some help here. After only building aircrafts my passion turned back onto fighting vehicles. I could manage to buy Meng´s King Tiger with a zimmerit sheet but am now struggeling with the camo pattern. My favorite would be the ambush pattern but I don´t find pictures of KT with zimmerit and ambush camo pattern. A string on finescale states that between August 44 and September 44 some KT with zimmerit coating were factory painted in ambush pattern. Can somebody here provide pictures of such KT´s`? If not, is it know how many were build and to which unit they were deployed? Thanks.
  22. Hey Don, sorry for lack in response but I haven´t checked on this topic since October. Thank you very much for offering help, really appreciate. Will shot you an email. Thanks again. SC2015
