  1. silkspan , it's pretty easy to work with bertie , as for the beer , I've heard you have a great range of quality one's to choose from , should be an enjoyable experience . 😜
  2. that sail is excellent bertie , you put a lot more effort into your sail , than I am doing on mine mate , 😄
  3. thankyou for the nice comments guys , got the bowspit sail attached today , might have to shift a few lines , as they are a bit crossed over , no biggie though . I hope my 4mm deadeyes turn up soon , I'm running out of stuff to do , in order .
  4. sorry I have been so tardy in joining your build , it's beautiful mate , and that rigging look's first class to me .
  5. also started some rigging on the bowspit .
  6. that look's so cool beefy .
  7. thanks beefy , the main and fore jeers are on .
  8. simple would never be the right word S-boat55 , the main , and preventer stay is finally on , not too happy about this though , the front four shrouds have all come loose , sorry about the picture quality .
  9. got the main shrouds in and the lanteen spar and sail straightened out . still got to make some rope coils for the belaying pins .
  10. I not really sure if the lanteen spar had parrels or not , but I thought that they looked cool .
  11. nice PE work sam , laying it all out like that , would probably be the best way to do it ,
  12. thanks jeff , well a mans not a camel now , 😆 .at this stage I don't think I will be doing reefing points , as I will be doing mostly furled sails , or being drawn up sails . but I intend to still do all the clue , cringle and reefing lines .
  13. silkspan attached to my sail making device , { patent pending } , here it has the paint , glue , and water mix applied , after it has dried cut to shape.. glue the rope edging in with pva glue and attach nothing is fixed in place yet , I have to wait for the main shrouds to go in .
  14. nice work beefy , but I still get sore eyes , just looking at it . 😄
  15. nice work jon , I have the hood , but in 1/350 .
  16. generally it's the bottom part of the mast , burton pendants , shrouds , preventer stays , in that order , then just keep working your way up , i leave the rat lines till I've finished the inside running rigging and sails , if I do them ! so I can work between the shrouds more easily . hope this helps beefy , if you need more info just let me know .
  17. couldn't believe it , found the right size syren thread behind my desk , just enough for the mizzen mast , so I have started the lanteen spar , everything is loose at the moment , I will post pic's of the sail when it is done .
  18. their's a lot of swear words dmitriy , and each country has a different version of them too , 😆
  19. thanks for that beefy mate ,😀 while I am waiting for deadeyes and thread to arrive , thought I'd do the bowspit yard ,
