  1. Hi 'Skodadriver'. Thanks for your information and help. I think I have given up on this excercise. Everything I think that may fit the bill is 'sold out' or 'unobtainable'. It was a good idea at the time, but, obviously there is no demand for this type of figure anymore. Regards Andy
  2. Hi Richard. No problem. As I said earlier, I am in no rush for the decals. In your own time is fine for me. I have just received my resin RB211 engine set. They have more detail than the kit ones. I have also ordered a set of airport steps as well, as I am going to make it a bit of a diorama (never done one before). I am also searching for 1/144 scale crew. I have been pointed in the direction of 'Preiser, but the set I want is out of stock everywhere (There's always a hitch, isn't there!). Anyway, let me know when the decals are ready and we will arrange things. Regards Andy
  3. Hi, It's me again. Has anyone any idea where I can obtain aircrew figures for my airliner project. I would like them to make a diarama 'come alive' sort of. I have seen a nice set of painted Preiser figures, but they are 1/200 scale. Would they be a close match to 1/144? Or has anyone any other suggestions. Regards Andy
  4. Hi Everyone. Thank you all for your Excellent help and information. I have decided on purchasing a set of BraZ airport stairs. I have ordered these from Hannants. I fully appreciate all your information regarding other manufacturers and suppliers, but Hannants have never let me down yet, and have quick delivery. Once again, Many thanks for taking the time to respond. Best Regards Andy
  5. Hi Folks. Does anyone know if there is a manufacturer who produces 1/144 scale mobile airport steps for airliners? I know one or two kits have had them included, but I just wondered if they can be purchased alone. Regards Andy
  6. They did to me as well, but as I said, most of the civil aircraft jet pods look the same to me. I am no expert, and I am in the hands of others more clued up than I am. Anyway, the resin set of RB211 I ordered from Hannants will be delivered today (or so I have been informed by Royal Mail text!), so can't wait to seehow they are. 'Happy Days' Regards Andy
  7. Hi Richard. OK,so the kit engines are RB211. So I could have left them as they are. Drat!. Anyway, I'm sure the resin set I ordered will be an improvement on the kit ones. On the registration issue, it is 'Definitely' D-ABOJ (ser/no 29019 LN:915). You started something there, as I had to double check it out. I was getting mixed up, as the aircraft we flew out on was D-ABOI, which had the 'old' blue livery scheme. Yes, it is definitely D-ABOJ I require. Regards Andy
  8. Thanks for the info 'feoffee 2'. That is what I suspected. I am not a civil aircraft 'buff' and most engine housings look the same to me. But I thought they may be P&W in the kit, with having Continental decals. Regards Andy
  9. Hi Ray. Yes, D-ABOJ is fitted with RB211-535E. I checked on this link - http://www.airfleets.net/ficheapp/plane-b757-29019.htm. I have ordered a set from Hannants, as I am not sure if the kits efforts are RR or P&W. But resin ones will be better anyway. Regards Andy
  10. Jessica - Many thanks for your link to the photos. They will help me a lot in my project. Trojan Thunder - I can't help you there Buddy. I'm using the Eastern Express kit. Not as good as minicraft kits, but I like a challenge (probably need a few whiskies as well! - lol) Thank you both for your comments and help. Best Regards Andy
  11. Hi Richard, Thanks for that. I wasn't sure to what extent the corrogard was applied to the aircraft. I can find loads of side view photos, but none plan view that are clear enough. Anyway, I know you must have a wealth of knowledge in these things. I am a 'novice' regarding civil aircraft markings and schemes. (not much better with military aircraft either!!!) Regards Andy
  12. Thanks 'feofee2'. That answers my question perfectly. Thanks for replying Regards Andy
  13. Anyone know if the Condor B757-300 have 'corrogard' on the wing panels?. If so, I will need to get some decals for my project. Regards Andy
  14. Hi Troy, Yessss. postimage worked. I think I'll go out and have a skinful to celebrate. Thanks for urging me on. Regards Andy
  15. This is the actual aircraft standing on the tarmac at Zakynthos. YESSSSSSS!!!! I've done it. I've uploaded. Well done me!!!!
  16. Hi Garryrussell, Thanks for the information. Civil aircraft are not my usual modelling 'fodder', so I have not done a lot of research. I tend to model military aircraft, but will try my hand at anything, if it catches my eye. Regards Andy
  17. Hi Richard, That's great. As I said, I just assumed all -300's had winglets from the start. I have also discovered that the aircraft I flew on is in fact a 757-330. I am going to purchase a set of resin RB211-535E engines, as I am not confident of the kit's ones. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care. Regards Andy
  18. Good shout Richard!!! I have just re-checked the kit and there are none. The answer is 'YES', I will need them. I could make them myself, but I would need dimensions, and your offer sounds a better idea to me. Not having done a lot of research on this aircraft, I 'assumed' that all B757-300 have winglets. That is not the case. The kit decals are for 'Continental', but it appears that some aircraft with that carrier have winglets and some do not. This is an amazing hobby and we are always learning. Best Regards Andy
  19. Wow! and Wow! again. Absolutely Fantastic. I hope I have the modelling skill with the kit to do these justice. Just give me a shout when they're done and we can sort things out. As I said, no hurry for me at all. Best Regards Andy
  20. Hi Richard, Wow! They look the 'real deal'. I'll have some of that. No probs with the time scale. When you can get round to it is fine by me. When you have done, let me know the cost and I will arrange to send the 'spondulas'. Incidentally, I don't know whether it matters, but the registration of the aircraft I flew on was D-ABOJ. Was going to up-load a photo, but can't get the hang of 'photobucket'!!!!. Once again, many thanks. Best Regards Andy
  21. Hi David. I will certainly let you know my progress. May not be able to finish it completely, as I am struggling with obtaining the correct decal scheme. Heard rumours it is not a brilliant kit, but I love a challenge! I will keep in touch. Best regards Andy
  22. Hi David. Indeed it does. I have always liked the B757, but the extended fuselage and winglets make it look even better. Thanks for your post. Best regards Andy
  23. Hi Richard. That would be fantastic if you could do something for me. Cost is not a problem at all. I do not know anywhere else to look. I will be forever in your debt if you can help me. Best Regards Andy
  24. To RICHW - The aircraft was in the new grey scheme (I think) with the 'Sunny Heart' on the tail fin, and yellow engine nacelles. To Skodadriver - I have checked out the 'nacza' website, and they do indeed have Condor / TC B757-300's. Unfortunately, they are all of the earlier livery. Trust me to fly in the new livery aircraft! Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
  25. Hi Folks, Just returned from Zante on Condor/Thomas Cook Boeing 757-300 D-ABOL. I have the Eastern Express 757-300 kit, but I am searching for decals for this particular aircraft. Has anybody out there got any ideas where I can obtain these? Any information will be Greatly Appreciated. Many Thanks in anticipation
