Thanks to all who have commented. I have had to order some new brushes. We recently moved home and i think removal men dropped a box and somehow all my fine work brushes are turned up as they've been stood in a box where as i put them in a container layed down.

When painting tyres on vehicles, what black do you use. No matter what shade it always looks wrong. The tyres look too shiny. What do you guys recommend.

Following. Welcome back to the hobby. Nice kit to start back off with. -
Hey guys. Sorry for not acknowledging anyone, but i have gone through so much since last August 2019. Lost my job due to ill health and finished up in hospital twice. Also moved houses from Wetherby to a bungalow mid way between Selby and Doncaster days before lockdown. I am digging all my stash out of storage and getting back into it all again.

Cheers guys. And thanks for the link Lou.

Guys I am looking for images or drawings for the stretcher supports for the willys jeep. I'm planning a 1.72 build. Any help would be appreciated.

That's surprised me. Nikki normally has loads in stock. Buy a small one for now until Nikki gets some in.

My local hobbycraft sells Thinners but cannot remember the bottle size. Also try Veteranus Models at Ripon. They stock all sorts and ship everywhere. Oh...welcome back to the hobby.

I started a build today and come to paint it. Put my tamiya dark earth aerosol on my build and its reacted badly to the undercoat. I tried the Revell paint remover and no joy...never touched it. I have since had it soaking in fairy power spray and still it's not shifting...any ideas.

My passion is Raf vehicles too jimbo and i will be following your build. I'm going to have a look for Mike Starmers colour guide too.

I have always had a fondness for the Aec Matador and started the Airfix kit with the 5.5 inch gun. The gun will not be built as it looks way out of scale. The chassis went together with no problems whatsoever apart from a bit of flash which is expected for a 1966 mould. However...the cab and body i am not happy with. The cab roof isn't big enough leaving a gap at either the front or back as it doesn't sit properly. After Google searches it turns out i am not the only one to find this out. Also the body panels and roof don't line up either. I have thought of making a homemade jig to overcome this. A scratchbuilt cab roof will have to be made to overcome that problem. It's a shame these problems are here as this is and can be a lovely kit. I can't paint the chassis or body today as the heavens have opened.

I have searched the net. And also rang the dealers. I don't suppose you have any scale drawings please.

Hi everyone. I am trying to source plans to build the M.A.N HX60 as used by the Army. If anyone has any info ie the chassis layout and dimensions i could use ... I would be extremely grateful. I am aiming to scratchbuilt one in 1/24 scale. I have tried M.A.N UK and Rhinemetal but so far no joy. Thanks in advance Tim.
